2 dies in Siliguri, 49 released, 30 of Siliguri, 57 of Jalpaiguri, 49 of Malda, 11 of Alipurduar, 19 of Coochbehar tested positive to Covid -19.

2 died in Siliguri:  2 Covid patients of Siliguri died today. Indra Kumar Biswakarma, 67 yrs old of Salugara was admitted in a nursing home died today.

Sulekha Sengupta, 78 yrs old of Ward No.17 College Para was admitted in NBMCH in RICU Ward and released and again readmitted in another nursing home and died there, she tested positive after her death. 

30 of Siliguri tested positive: 4 of Ward no.31 (6, 10, 21, 34 yrs old), Ward no.39 (28, 35, 49, 75 yrs old), 3 of Ward no.29 (26, 54, 55 yrs old), 2 of IGP office (41, 42 yrs old), North Ektiasal- (39, 40 yr old), Ward no.4 (19, 32 yrs old), Ward no.14 (40, 48 yrs old), 1 of Ghughumali (76 yrs old), Suryasen Colony (55 yrs old), Ward no.5 (35 yrs old), Ward no.7 (19 yrs old), Ward no.15 (66 yrs old), Ward no.25 (25 yrs old), Ward no.30 (40 yrs old), Ward no.43 (52 yrs old), Ward no.46 (45 yrs old),

49 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery from the infection 49 patients are discharged from the Covid hospitals of Siliguri.

Jalpaiguri:  Record 57 new cases is reported from Jalpaiguri today. In the district there are 628 confirmed cases of which 378 have recovered, 4 died and 246 active cases.

Malda:  49 new cases reported today from Malda. There are 1079 Confirmed cases, 574 have recovered and 6 died and 505 are active cases. 

Coochbehar:  19 new cases of Covid 19 infection reported today. The complete report of the district is 348 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 301 recovery and 46 active cases. 

Alipurduar:   11 new cases reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 207 Confirmed cases, 179 recovered and 28 active cases. 

NBMCH

There are 25 patients in the three Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). 9 patients in Isolation Ward-1, 4 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), 1 in ENT and 11 patients (including the injured wife of the dead Covid teacher who with her two daughters were injured during a suicide bid) in Surgical ward are admitted. 

1 of Sukuna is admitted in Isolation ward of NBMCH.

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 93 patients are admitted today. 

There are 3 patients of GTA, 1 patient of Boxi Jhora Darjeeling, 1 patient of Lebong and 1 of Kalimpong are admitted.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 48 Covid-19 patients are admitted.  

1 patient of Sukuna and 1 of Kalimpong are admitted.   

TRIBENI Hospital

2 of Kalimpong are admitted in the last 24 hrs. Presently there are 5 patients, 2 patients of Darjeeling and 3 of Kalimpong in Triveni hospital.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

There are 3 patients of GTA- 1 patient of Lower Mirik, 1 of Lower Tungsung and 1 of China Club Chowrasta are admitted to Hatighisa Safe House. 

BATASIA SAFE HOUSE 

1 patient of Mirik of GTA with asymptomatic Covid positive diagnosis is admitted to this Safe House. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 12 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1598 and in Kalimpong district is 1048, the tally of GTA area stands to 2646. 

Altogether there are 65 persons in 4 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 872 confirmed cases of which 561 have recovered and 13 died while 298 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 57 confirmed cases of which 54 have recovered, 1 died and 2 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 205 confirmed cases of which 187 have recovered while 18 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 564 confirmed cases of which 3 died while 378 have recovered and 183 are active cases. 

CoochBehar has 356 confirmed cases of which 308 have recovered and 48 are active cases. 

Malda has 1155 confirmed cases of which 762 have recovered and 7 died and 386 are active cases.
