2 dies in Siliguri, 12 of Siliguri, 41 of Malda, 1 of Alipurduar, 4 of Jalpaiguri, tested positive to Covid -19

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 8 July 2020: 

2 died in Siliguri: 1 died in Siliguri within last 24 hrs. 65 yrs of Ward no.5 Santoshinagar died today. He was admitted in RICU ward of NBMCH.

1 person of Chopra injured with gun shot was admitted in a private nursing home, there he died today, he also tested positive. 

9 wards of Siliguri Municipal Corporation are recognised as Containment zone. They are ward numbers 2, 4, 5, 28, 46, 37, 38, 39 and 43. Complete lockdown will be followed in these wards.

12 tested positive: 12 of Siliguri M Corporation tested positive, beside them one each from Matigara and Sukuna also tested positive.

12 of Siliguri tested positive, they are- 4 of Ward no.2 (2, 6, 76 ,80 yr old), one each of Ward no. 9 (31 yr old), Ward no.13 (54 yr old), Ward no.17 (66 yr old), Ward no.30 (53 yr old), Ward no.34 ( yr old), Ward no.39 (69 yr old), Ward no.47 (52 yr old), 62 yr old of NJP Bhaktinagar, 

37 yr old of Salugara Bikashnagar and 4 of Sahudangi.

36 Released: 31 from Desun hospital and 5 from Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital.

Alipurduar:   1 new case reported from Birpara of Alipurduar. In the district there are 194 Confirmed cases, 179 recovered and 16 active cases. 

Jalpaiguri:  4 new cases from Sahudangi Ashram of Jalpaiguri reported today. In the district there are 414 confirmed cases of which 329 have recovered, 4 died and 83 active cases.

Coochbehar:  No new cases of Covid 19 infection reported today. The complete report of the district is 311 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 305 recovery and 5 active cases. 

Malda:  41 new cases reported today from Malda. So far 5 patients died in Malda of which 3 death are from Kaliachak and maximum infected are from English Bazar.SDO, IC and 5 police personnel of a police station,  

Several officers including health and police personnel are infected of the virus. Strict lockdown will be implemented in Englishbazar from 8 July. There are 901 Confirmed cases, 592 have recovered and 4 died and 313 are active cases. 

NBMCH

There are 9 patients in the three Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). 2 patients in Isolation Ward-1, 1 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), 2 patients in Surgical ward and 4 patients in Gynecological Isolation unit are admitted. 

I of Jaldhaka is admitted at Isolation ward of NBMCH.

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 52 patients are admitted today. 

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 26 Covid-19 patients are admitted. 

   

Tribeni Hospital

There are 1 patient of Darjeeling and 1 of Kalimpong today in Triveni hospital.

4 of Darjeeling and Kalimpong are released today.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

12 patients are admitted in Hatighisa Safe House. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 8 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1506 and in Kalimpong district is 1184, the tally of GTA area stands to 2690. 

Altogether there are 103 persons in 5 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 684 confirmed cases of which 440 have recovered and 10 died while 234 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 56 confirmed cases of which 51 have recovered, 1 died and 4 are active cases. Alipurduar has 190 confirmed cases of which 179 have recovered while 11 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 414 confirmed cases of which 2 died while 329 have recovered and 83 are active cases. CoochBehar has 311 confirmed cases of which 305 have recovered and 6 are active cases. Malda has 909 confirmed cases of which 592 have recovered and 4 died and 313 are active cases.
