1 died- Cong leader of Siliguri dies of Covid, Record 101 of Darjeeling district (53 of Siliguri and, 48 from other areas), 82 of Malda, tested positive 31 of Jalpaiguri, 2 of Alipurduar, 6 of Coochbehar infected. 37 discharged.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 17 July 2020: 

1 died in Siliguri: Udayan Dubey 67 yr died today of Covid-19. Udayan a veteran Congress (INC) leader was admitted at Siliguri hospital where he died. He was suffering from fever and respiratory problem but delayed to admit.

101 of Darjeeling : 101 of Darjeeling district (53 of Siliguri and, 48 from other areas),  4 of Naxalbari, 5  from Matigara, 2 Jawan of Kadamtala, Phansidewa, Sahudangi and others tested positive.   

53 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation tested positive: 

10 of Ward no.27, 6 of Ward no.39, 4 of Ward no.19 and Sevoke Road, 3 of Ward no.35, 38, 44 and Ramkrishna palli. 2 of Ward no.2, 4, 9, 14, 22, 25; 1 each of Ward no.41, 42, 45 and 46 and others.

Malda:  Record 82 new cases and 1 death reported today from Malda. There are 1447 Confirmed cases, 941 have recovered and 7 died and 499 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri:  31 new case is reported from Jalpaiguri today. In the district there are 665 confirmed cases of which 415 have recovered, 4 died and 246 active cases.

Alipurduar: 2 new case reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 212 Confirmed cases, 194 recovered and 18 active cases. 

Coochbehar:  6 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 381 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 321 recovery and 59 active cases. 

37 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery from the infection- 18 from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Superspeciality hospital,13 from Desun Covid hospital and 6 from different Safe homes are discharged.,

NBMCH

There are 24 patients in the three Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). 7 of them tested positive while 4 are very serious.

There are 5 patients in Isolation Ward-1, 5 in Isolation Ward-II, 5 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 9 in Gynecological ward. 

1 of Lingsey , Kalimpong is admitted in Isolation ward of NBMCH.

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 86 patients are admitted today. 

There are 3 patients of GTA, 1 patient each of Lebong,  Tukvar Darjeeling   and 1 of  Kalimpong are admitted.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 42 Covid-19 patients are admitted

1 each of Cedar Cottage Darjeeling, Kurseong, Tindharia and Kalimpong are admitted.   

TRIBENI Hospital

Presently there are 5 patients of Darjeeling in Triveni hospital.

1 patient of Kalimpong is released.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

1 of Tindharia and 3 of Mirik are admitted.

BATASIA SAFE HOUSE 

1 of Mirik is admitted to this Safe House. 

 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 17 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1530 and in Kalimpong district is 943, the tally of GTA area stands to 2473. 

Altogether there are 81 persons in 7 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

 Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 1167 confirmed cases of which 691 have recovered and 14 died while 462 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 59 confirmed cases of which 55 have recovered, 1 died and 3 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 212 confirmed cases of which 191 have recovered while 21 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 665 confirmed cases of which 3 died while 415 have recovered and 247 are active cases. 

CoochBehar has 396 confirmed cases of which 315 have recovered and 81 are active cases. 

Malda has 1541 confirmed cases of which 932 have recovered and 7 died and 602 are active cases.
