1 Covid patient dies in Siliguri, Record 75 of Malda tested positive, 40 discharged, 35 of Siliguri, 1 of Tukvar Darjeeling and 1 of Bijanbari, 1 of Ghughumali Dabgram, 1 of Alipurduar reported infected, Total lockdown in 11 containment zones till 19th July.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 14 July 2020: 1 died in Siliguri:  A 70 year old patient of Champasari died in RICU ward of NBMCH who tested positive to Covid-19. 

35 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation tested positive

35 of SMC area along with 1 of Tukvar Darjeeling, 1 of Bijanbari and 1 of Ghughumali Dabgram and 2 police personnel tested positive today.

35 are as follows- 4 of Ward no.29, 3 of Ward no.4 and Sukantanagar, 2 of Ward no.1, Ward no.34, Ward no.39, Ward no.40, Ward no.46 and Sevoke Road, 1 of Ward no. 2, Ward no.3, Ward no.7, Ward no.9, Ward no.24, Ward no.27, Ward no.28, Ward no.37, Ward no.42 and Subhaspalli. 

Malda:  A record 75 new cases and 1 death is reported today from Malda. There are 1205 Confirmed cases, 700 have recovered and 7 died and 499 are active cases. 14 police personnel including 1 high ranking police officer also tested positive.

Jalpaiguri:  No new cases is reported from Jalpaiguri today. In the district there are 576 confirmed cases of which 387 have recovered, 4 died and 185 active cases. One patient tested positive after 48 hour of his death and his funeral.

Coochbehar:  No new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 350 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 308 recovery and 41 active cases. 

Alipurduar:   1 new case is reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 208 Confirmed cases, 189 recovered and 19 active cases. 

40 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery from the infection- 19 patients from  Dr. Chhang’s Covid Superspeciality hospital,16 from Desun Covid hospital and 5 from different Safe homes were discharged., 

NBMCH

There are 22 patients in the three Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in Isolation Ward-1, 1 in Isolation Ward-II, 6 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 10 patients (including the injured wife of the dead Covid teacher who with her two daughters were injured during a suicide bid) in Surgical ward are admitted. 

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 92 patients are admitted today. 

2 patients of Lebong Darjeeling are admitted in this hospital.

1 patient of Boxi Jhora Darjeeling and 1 of Kalimpong are shifted to Safe Homes.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 65 Covid-19 patients are admitted of them 23 are in ICU.  

1 patient of Sukuna is admitted.   

TRIBENI Hospital

Presently there are 7 patients, 4 patients of Darjeeling and 3 of Kalimpong in Triveni hospital.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

There are 3 patients of GTA- 1 patient of Lower Mirik, 1 patient of Boxi Jhora Darjeeling. 

Released- 1 of Lower Tungsung and 1 of China Club Chowrasta are admitted in Hatighisa Safe House

BATASIA SAFE HOUSE 

1 patient of Mirik and 1 of Kurseong and 1 of Kalimpong of GTA with asymptomatic Covid positive diagnosis are admitted to this Safe House. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 14 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1438 and in Kalimpong district is 995, the tally of GTA area stands to 2433. 

Altogether there are 111 persons in 6 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 951 confirmed cases of which 591 have recovered and 13 died while 347 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 59 confirmed cases of which 55 have recovered, 1 died and 3 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 206 confirmed cases of which 188 have recovered while 18 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 581 confirmed cases of which 3 died while 390 have recovered and 188 are active cases. 

CoochBehar has 360 confirmed cases of which 310 have recovered and 50 are active cases. 

Malda has 1263 confirmed cases of which 804 have recovered and 7 died and 452 are active cases.
