1 Covid patient dies in SIliguri, 21 of Siliguri Municipal Corpn including 7 of a nursing home, 37 of Malda, 2 of Coochbehar, 8 of Jalpaiguri and 5 of Alipurduar tested positive.

Siliguri: 1 died: A 72 yr old Covid patient of Ward no. 35, died last night. Shyam Sundar Devi of Ramnagar Colony was admitted in NBMCH and on testing positive to Covid-19 she was shifted to Desun hospital yesterday. But she died in the night time. 

25 tested positive: 

25 from Siliguri MC is reported to have tested positive to Covid-19. They are 10 of Ward no.9  including 4 nurses, a 4 yr old child of a nurse and 2 staff of the nursing home of Khalpara. 

A doctor and 4 nurses of the same nursing home had tested positive a week ago. After their testing positive, other staff of the nursing home were asked not to attend the nursing home. They had been at home and were waiting for their swab test result.

The 25 are- 10 of Khalpara Ward no.9 (4, 7, 22, 22, 22, 30, 24, 39, 42, 43 yr old), 2 of Ward no.25 (36, 55 yr old), 1 each of Ward no.5 (30 yr old), Ward no.20 (25 yr old), Ward no.6 (78 yr old), Ward no.15 (59 yr old), Ward no.30 (42 yr old),  Ward no.36 (72 yr old), Ward no.37 (65 yr old), 45 yr old of Rabindrapali, 22 yr old of Patiram Jote Matigara, 29 yr old of Telipara Rajgunj, 72 yr old of Ramnagar colony of Bhaktinagar, 23 yr old of Dinhatta, Coochbehar and a 20 yr old of Kishangunj, Bihar.

Recovery: 30 patients are released from Covid hospital of hospitals, Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital and Triveni Hospital. 

Malda: 37 new cases is reported today. Both doctors, nurses, health workers BSF and police personnel are infected with the coronavirus. So far 3 patients have died from Kaliachak. As all classes of people are getting infected it is feared that community transmission has already been started in the district. There are 782 Confirmed cases, 466 have recovered and 3 died and 313 are active cases.

Alipurduar:  5 new cases reported from Alipurduar belonging to a single family. A son of a covid patient who died two days ago has tested positive along with other members of his family.In the district there are 195 Confirmed cases, 141 recovered and 54 active cases. 

Coochbehar:  2 new cases of Covid 19 infection reported since no cases for consecutive four days. Both are returnees from Telangana and Mahrashtra and are asymptomatic. The complete report of the district is 299 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 295 recovery and 3 active cases. 

Jalpaiguri:  8 new cases from Jalpaiguri. Tally of district is 396 Confirmed cases of which 321 have recovered, 4 died and 71 are active cases.

NBMCH

There are 10 patients in the three Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). 4 patient in Isolation Ward-1, 1 patients in Surgical Isolation Ward, 3 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU) and 2 patient in Gynecological Isolation unit are admitted, 2 patients of Gorubathan are released.

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 38 patients are admitted today. 1 patient admitted is from Kalimpong.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 55 Covid-19 patients are admitted. 

   

Tribeni Hospital

4 are admitted, There are 4 patients of Darjeeling and 5 of Kalimpong today.

3  are released.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

12 patients are admitted in Hatighisa Safe House. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 5 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1693 and in Kalimpong district is 1239, the tally of GTA area stands to 2932. 

Altogether there are 90 persons in 5 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 528 confirmed cases of which 301 have recovered and 10 died while 217 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 55 confirmed cases of which 48 have recovered, 1 died and 6 are active cases. Alipurduar has 186 confirmed cases of which 175 have recovered while 11 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 364 confirmed cases of which 1 died while 294 have recovered and 69 are active cases. CoochBehar has 305 confirmed cases of which 300 have recovered and 5 are active cases. Malda has 706 confirmed cases of which 431 have recovered and 1 died and 268 are active cases.
