Within 24 hrs state records- 144 recovery, 427 new cases, 4025 active cases and 7303 confirmed cases and 11 death
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 5 June 2020: Today t report states a record highest spike of increase in new cases and active cases.
In the state 427 new cases (1 day before-368, 2 days before- 340) as well as 11 death (1 day before-10, 2 days before-10) and 144 recovery (1 day before-188, 2 days before-170) is recorded today.
The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 7303 (1 day before-6876, 2 days before-6508) while active cases is 4025 (1 day before-3753, 2 days before-3583). The death toll from the disease till now is 294 (1 day before-283, 2 days before-273) while there is 72 death due to Co-morbidity.
After recovery of the infection 2912 (1 day before-2768, days before-2580) are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has increased to 39.87%.
The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 42 numbers of ICMR testing labs is being done at a very good rate and today 9686 (1 day before-9606, 2 days before-9499) samples within 24 hour were tested that tally 251517 (1 day before-241831, 2 days before-232225) till today since day 1.

Today 151848 persons (1 day before-148359, 2 days before-148287) are currently under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and total 254760 persons (1 day before-246981, 2 days before-244828) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance.
Number of people released from home quarantine was 102912 (1 day before-98622, 2 days before-96541).
Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 23077 persons (1 day before-20662, 2 days before-18525) and so far from these centres 59700 persons (1 day before-57940, 2 days before-56118) were released after recovery.
Currently in the state there are 69 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
