Todays report of the state- less new cases

STATE 

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 9 June 2020: Todays report has less number of new cases and active cases.

In the state 372 new cases (1 day before-426, 2 days before- 449) as well as 10  death (1 day before-9, 2 days before-13) and 155 recovery (1 day before-162, 2 days before-184) is recorded today.

The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 8985 (1 day before-8613, 2 days before-8187) while active cases is 4950 (1 day before-4743, 2 days before-4488). The death toll from the disease till now is 415 (1 day before-405, 2 days before-324).

After recovery of the infection 3620 (1 day before-3465, days before-3303) are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has increased to 40.28%

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 43, ICMR testing labs is being done at a very good rate and today 7802 (1 day before-9024, 2 days before-9786) samples within 24 hour were tested that tally 287900 (1 day before-280098, 2 days before-271074) till now since day 1.   

Today 156903 persons (1 day before-156521, 2 days before-154682) are currently under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and total 267080 persons (1 day before-264738, 2 days before-260955) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 110137 (1 day before-108217, 2 days before-106273).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 22106 persons (1 day before-22731, 2 days before-22695) and so far from these centres 69904 persons (1 day before-68027, 2 days before-65761) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 69 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 134 confirmed cases of which 47 have recovered and 3 died while 84 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 26 confirmed cases of which 7 have recovered and 1 died while 18 are active cases.
