State's Recovery rate- 64.76 %, 572 new cases, 404 recovery,10 death : 17283 confirmed cases : 5451 active cases : 639 death : 11193 recovery

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 28 June 2020: Todays report states a record and encouraging recovery of cases equivalent to 64.76 percent though the number of new cases is increasing in a slow rate. West Bengal is now at 7th position in terms of the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the state 572 new cases (1 day before-521, 2 days before- 542) as well as 10 death (1 day before-13, 2 days before-10) and 404 recovery (1 day before-254, 2 days before-345) is recorded in the last 24 hours.

The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 17283 (1 day before-16711, 2 days before-16190) while active cases is 5451 (1 day before- 5293, 2 days before-5039). The death toll from the disease till now is 639 (1 day before-629, 2 days before-616).

After recovery of the infection 11193 (1 day before-10789, days before-10535) Covid patients are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has encouragingly increased to 64.76 %.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 51, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 10563 (1 day before-9548, 2 days before-9537) samples were tested that tally 468906 (1 day before-458343, 2 days before-448795) till now since day 1.

In the last 24 hours, 77217 persons (1 day before-84291, 2 days before-90771) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 308510 persons (1 day before-307483, 2 days before-305367) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 231293 (1 day before-223192, 2 days before-214596).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 6937 persons (1 day before-7181, 2 days before-7330) and so far from these centres 95383 persons (1 day before-94993, 2 days before-93898) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 78 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 25 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
