3 Covid patient dies – Record 44 new cases from Darjeeling district- 33 patients of Siliguri SMC, 1 of Naxalbari, 1 of Matigara, 9 of Mirik, 24 of Malda, 5 of Coochbehar, 6 of Jalpaiguri- Markets to open from Monday.

Siliguri:

3 dead : Three Covid patients died today, one 54 year old patient of Deshbandhupara died in a private nursing home at Sevoke Road while another patient of Naxalbari admitted at RICU ward of NBMCH died today. 

One 66 yr old patient of Arabindanagar of Jalpaiguri died today at Desun Hospital. 

44 cases reported from the district of Darjeeling today. 33 new cases of Covid 19 is reported from Siliguri. They are 8 patients from ward no 46 (14 yr old, 17 yr old, 22 yr old, 25 yr old, 42 yr old, 47 yr old, 49 yr old, 62 yr old), 5 patients from ward no 36 (13 yr old, 13 yr old, 21 yr old, 30 yr old, 41 yr old), 2 patients from ward no 8 (41 yr old, 42 yr old), ward no 10 (44 yr old, 56 yr old), 14 (37 yr old, 41 yr old), 17 (30 yr old, 51 yr old,), 22 (26 yr old, 28 yr old), 28 (25 yr old, 27 yr old) and 1 patient each from ward no.1 (24 yr old), ward no. 2 (40 yr old), ward no 27 (27 yr old), ward no.33 (46 yr old), 41 (28 yr old),  43 (28 yr old), 47 (44 yr old), and Laketown (24 yr old). 

Beside that one 46 yr old from Fulbari-1 and 37 yr old of Medical More Matigara tested positive. A patient of Naxalbari died today.

9 of Mirik area tested positive. 

Markets to open:

Regulated Market, Fish market, Fruit Market of Siliguri and Champasari market will remain open from 29 June with some restrictions. Regulated market was closed for 14 days.

Malda: 24 new cases reported from Malda. 12 of the cases are from English Bazar. It again includes a nurse of a Covid hospital.

There are 564 Confirmed cases, 316 recovered and 248 active cases.

Jalpaiguri:  6 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri. Tally of district is 335 Confirmed cases of which 258 have recovered, 1 died and 76 are active cases.

Coochbehar:  5 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported. The complete report of the district is 296 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 283 recovery and 14 active cases. 

Alipurduar:  No case is reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 182 Confirmed cases, 108 recovered and 74 active cases.

NBMCH

There are 7 patients in the Isolation ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). In the Surgical ward 2 patient, Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU) 5 patients and Gynecological unit 4 patients are admitted. 

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 61 patients are admitted today. 

7 patients of Darjeeling, GTA area are in the Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital.

3 of Mirik and 1 of Chunabhatti Tindharia are admitted today. Already admitted are 1 of Kaijaley, 1 of Badamtam, 1 of Barnesburg.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 32 Covid-19 patients are admitted. 

1 of Topkhana is released. 

   

Tribeni Hospital

2 patients with SARI (Severe Acute Respiratory Illness) symptoms are admitted in this hospital as the first patients.

One from Kalimpong and another from Darjeeling were admitted yesterday.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

2 patients with asymptomatic Covid positive diagnosis are admitted to Hatighisa Safe House. One from Gorubathan admitted. 1 of Soureni already admitted. 

1 of Dudhia released.

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 28 June 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 2172 and in Kalimpong district is 1282, the tally of GTA area stands to 3454. 

Altogether there are 91 persons in 9 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 428 confirmed cases of which 226 have recovered and 9 died while 193 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 52 confirmed cases of which 45 have recovered, 1 died and 6 are active cases. Alipurduar has 179 confirmed cases of which 115 have recovered while 64 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 335 confirmed cases of which 258 have recovered and 77 are active cases. CoochBehar has 298 confirmed cases of which 289 have recovered and 9 are active cases. Malda has 584 confirmed cases of which 337 have recovered and 1 died and 246 are active cases.
