STATE 's daily Covid- 19 report- rise in death and brake in new cases

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 10 June 2020: Todays report states a rise in number of death while it shows control on new cases and active cases.

In the state 343 new cases (1 day before-372, 2 days before- 426) as well as  17 death (1 day before-10, 2 days before-9) and 159 recovery (1 day before-155, 2 days before-162) is recorded today.

The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 9328 (1 day before-8985, 2 days before-8613) while active cases is 5117 (1 day before-4950, 2 days before-4743). The death toll from the disease till now is 432 (1 day before-415, 2 days before-405).

After recovery of the infection 3779 (1 day before-3620, days before-3465) are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has increased to 40.51%

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 43, ICMR testing labs is being done at a very good rate and today 9519 (1 day before-7802, 2 days before-9024) samples within 24 hour were tested that tally 297419 (1 day before-287900,

2 days before-280098) till now since day 1.   

Today 155824 persons (1 day before-156903, 2 days before-156521) are currently under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and total 268221 persons (1 day before-267080, 2 days before-264738) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 112397 (1 day before-110137, 2 days before-108217).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are  20275 persons (1 day before-22106, 2 days before-22731) and so far from these centres 73406 persons (1 day before-69904, 2 days before-68027) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 69 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 138 confirmed cases of which 40 have recovered and 3 died while 95 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 24 confirmed cases of which 7 have recovered, 1 died and 16 are active cases.
