37 of Darjeeling, 11 medics and staff of NBMCH, 4 of Jalpaiguri, 2 of Malda tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 10 June 2020: Darjeeling: These include 37 persons of Darjeeling district have tested positive today. They are 12 of Matigara, 5 of Siliguri, 1 of Champasari, 3 of Sidhi Green Bhanu Nagar, one each from Champasari, Naya Bazar, Deshbandhunagar Jalpaiguri, Jhankar More, Pradhan Nagar, Gurung Busty, Rajibnagar -Shiv Mandir, Kamala Bagan- Bagdogra, Bhadrajote Khoribari,  Leusiapokhari Phansidewa, Tung, Tikiapara, Raigunj and Anandapur Malbazar, It also includes 3 persons of ward no. 28, ward no. 7 and ward no.8 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. Almost all either have travel history or came into contact with primary positve patient of the family. 

Some of them are family members of a single family. One of the patient is already admitted at DESUN hospital  while 10 are admitted at Dr. Chhang's SS Covid hospital. 

4 of Malutar, 1 of Jyotinagar and 1 of Champasari tested positive on 9th june 2020.

NBMCH: 3 junior doctors and 4 nurses of Operation Theater and 4 staff- total 11 have tested positive today this made the toll more than 30 medical staff of NBMCH including doctors. Though some doctors are recovering, more contacts are being kept in quarantine and this has made the administration as well the staff in pressure for doing the duty.

Released: 3 doctors of NBMCH and 2 civic volunteers of Kalimpong were released after testing negatives twice. Almost all those recovered are asymptomatic and testing negative within a week of their admission in the Covid hospital. This has eased the pressure on both the hospital staff and administration though the nmber of positive cases is increasing at a very high rate everyday.  

Malda: 2 of Malda reported Covid positive.

Malda has 235 confirmed cases, 115 discharged while 120 are active cases.

Jalpaiguri: 4 of Jalpaiguri have tested positive and 8  released after recovery.

Jalpaiguri has 111 confirmed cases of which 17 have so far recovered and there are 94 active cases. 

Kalimpong: Yesterday 4 from Kalimpong had tested positive and they were admitted at Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital. They were 1 of upper Echhey returnee from Mumbai,  one of Primtam Road returnee from Maharashtra, 2 including a lady police officer of Malli Out post.

Alipurduar:1 of Alipurduar admitted today. The district has 45 confirmed cases, 34 active cases, 1 moved and 10 recovered cases

DESUN hospital

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 10 June 2020: 

From yesterday, DESUN hospital has started working as Covid hospital and North Bengal Medical College and Hospital has started as severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) Hospital.

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 30 Covid-19 patients are admitted.

In Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital there are 110 patients. 

3 doctors of NBMCH and 2 of Kalimpong were released after recovery, today. 

Yesterday there were 96 patients.

24 patients of GTA area are in the Dr. Chhang’s SSC hospital. There are 20 patients, they are -7 of Sonada, 1 of Badal Dhura, 1 of Mirik, 7 of Kurseong, 2 of Darjeeling Municipality, 1 of Bijanbari and 1 of Nagarifarm.  14 of Kalimpong (1 of 10 Mile, 3 of Kalimpong Municipality, 1 of 16 Mile, 2 of Nimbong, 1of Upper Dong, 1 of Chandralok, 1 of Kasyom, 1 of Sherpa gaon, 1 of Malli, 1 of Middle Bong Busty and 1 of Kumai)

NBMCH

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 10 June 2020: 

Presently in this hospital, more than 50 patients are admitted with symptoms similar to Covid 19 in North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. There are 13 patients in Isolation ward I, 6 patients in gynecological isolation ward while in surgical ward there are 5 patients and 1 in RICU (Respiratory Intensive care unit) ward. Of the 13 patients 5 are Covid-19 positive patients .

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 10 June 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 2991 and in Kalimpong district it is 1391, the tally of GTA area stands to 4382. 

Altogether there are 301 persons in 34 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 138 confirmed cases of which 40 have recovered and 3 died while 95 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 24 confirmed cases of which 7 have recovered, 1 died and 16 are active cases.
