STATE REPORT: 476 new cases, 218 recovery - rate 41.05% and 10244 confirmed cases

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 12 June 2020: Todays report states a record highest spike of increase in new cases and active cases.

In the state 476 new cases (1 day before-440, 2 days before- 343) as well as 9  death (1 day before-10, 2 days before-17) and  218 recovery (1 day before-209, 2 days before-159) is recorded today.

The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 10244 (1 day before-9768, 2 days before-9328) while active cases is 5587 (1 day before-5338, 2 days before-5117). The death toll from the disease till now is 451 (1 day before-442, 2 days before-432).

After recovery of the infection 4206 (1 day before-3988, days before-3779) are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has increased to 41.05%

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 43, ICMR testing labs is being done at a very good rate and today 8758 (1 day before-9522, 2 days before-9519) samples within 24 hour were tested that tally 315699 (1 day before-306941, 2 days before-297419) till now since day 1.   

Today 157289 persons (1 day before-156392, 2 days before-155824) are currently under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and total 272562 persons (1 day before-271014, 2 days before-268221) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 115273 (1 day before-114622, 2 days before-112397).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are    17036 persons (1 day before-18671, 2 days before-20275) and so far from these centres 77947 persons (1 day before-75612, 2 days before-73406) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 69 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 199 confirmed cases of which 90 have recovered and 3 died while 106 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 43 confirmed cases of which 14 have recovered, 1 died and 35 are active cases. Alipurduar has 43 confirmed cases of which 7 have recovered while 33 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 195 confirmed cases of which 65 have recovered and 130 are active cases. CoochBehar has 273 confirmed cases of which 71 have recovered and 203 are active cases
