Recovery rate of lyesterday is 60.5% -on 21 May it was 37.31 % while on 4 May it was 17.32 %. -413 new cases and14 death.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 22 June 2020: Todays report states a record and encouraging recovery of cases equivalent to 60.5 percent though the number of new cases is increasing in a slow rate. West Bengal is now at 7th position in terms of the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. On 21 May the recovery rate was 37.31 % while on 4 May it was 17.32 %.  

In the state 413 new cases (1 day before-414, 2 days before- 441) as well as  14 death (1 day before-15, 2 days before-11) and 390 recovery (1 day before-432, 2 days before-562) is recorded in the last 24 hours.

The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 14358 (1 day before-13945, 2 days before-13531) while active cases is 5102 (1 day before-5093, 2 days before-5126). The death toll from the disease till now is 569 (1 day before-555, 2 days before-540).

After recovery of the infection 8687 (1 day before-8297, days before-7865) Covid patients are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has encouragingly increased to 60.5%

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 49, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 9363 (1 day before-10549, 2 days before-10330) samples were tested that tally 410854 (1 day before-401491, 2 days before-390942) till now since day 1.   

In the last 24 hours, 133391 persons (1 day before-137838, 2 days before-160726) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 299688 persons (1 day before-298566, 2 days before-297308) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 166297 (1 day before-160278, 2 days before-136582).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are     8827 persons (1 day before-8897, 2 days before-9123) and so far from these centres 91380 persons (1 day before-90350, 2 days before-89421) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 69 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
