71 and 72 year old patients dies of Coronavirus, 16 of Siliguri, 3 of Alipurduar, 44 of Malda tests positive Triveni hospital inaugurated

Siliguri: 

2 dead: One 71 year old patient of Baghajatin Road admitted in Respiratory ICU ward of NBMCH died today. Another 72 year old lady Covid patient of Ashrampara admitted in Desun hospital also died today. Both tested positive to Covid-19.

Both Ashok Bhattacharya and Mukul Sengupta of SMC are stable and improving, both tested negative in the first test.

Today 16 of Siliguri sub division tested positive. They are from ward nos. 4 from ward no. 2 and 3 from ward no. 46, 2 from ward no. 42 and one from each of the ward nos. 1, 19, 31,38, 41. Others are from Salugara BSF Road and Bagdogra.

Hongkong Market is closed for nine days till 30 June starting from today. Bidhan Market may also be closed.

GTA: Triveni Hospital with 100 bed is inaugurated today by Anit Thapa , chairman of GTA. The hospital situated near Teesta bridge, has 50 beds for Severe Acute Respiratory Illness (SARI) and 50 for Covid patients. It will also perform True Nat Covid tests.The hospital provided and built by Gorkhaland Territorial Administration with the aid of Government of West Bengal will be upgraded in near future.

No new cases from the two districts under GTA is reported.

Malda: 44 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today from Coochbehar. In the district there are 378 Confirmed cases, 250 recovered and 120 active cases.   

Coochbehar:  No new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported since four days. The complete report of the district is 280 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and one of them had died, 254 recovery and 26 active cases. 

Alipurduar: 3 new cases reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 176 Confirmed cases, 91 recovered and 80 active cases.

Jalpaiguri: No new cases is reported from Jalpaiguri. Tally of district is 300 Confirmed cases of which 137 have recovered and 135 are active cases.

Release: 1 patient recovered and released from Dr. Chhang's Covid hospital and 6 from Desun hospital are released. Raju Saha BJP Organodation district secretary testing negative twice is released from Jalpaiguri Covid hospital. His other five members are still in isolation.

NBMCH

There are 7 patients in Isolation ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). In the ID I ward there are 5 patients while in Respiratory ICU 1 patient is admitted and in Surgical isolation ward one patient is admitted. 1 senior citizen patient of RICU ward died. 

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 81 patients are admitted today. 

8 patients of GTA area are in the Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital, of them 7 patients are from Darjeeling district. And they are 1 newly admitted of Kaijaley, others are 1 of Sonada, 1 of Gopal Dhura TE, 1 of Badamtam, 1 of Barnesburg, 1 of Ambotia and 1 of Lower Chungthung. 

From Kalimpong ,1 patient of Munsong is admitted.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 40 Covid-19 patients are admitted today. 

1 of Dudhia (Darjeeling) and 1 of Topkhana (Kalimpong) are also admitted.

1 senior citizen lady patient of RICU ward died. 

4 patients with asymptomatic Covid positive diagnosis are sent to Hatighisa Safe House.

6 patients are released.

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 22 June 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 2524 and in Kalimpong district it is 1637, the tally of GTA area stands to 4161. 

Altogether there are 120 persons in 11 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 329 confirmed cases of which 165 have recovered and 5 died while 159 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 52 confirmed cases of which 38 have recovered, 1 died and 13 are active cases. Alipurduar has 176 confirmed cases of which 66 have recovered while 110 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 300 confirmed cases of which 172 have recovered and 128 are active cases. CoochBehar has 288 confirmed cases of which 264 have recovered and 24 are active cases.
