Record recovery of cases - increasing gradually to 54.97 percent

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 18 June 2020: Todays report states a record recovery of cases of 54.97 percent though the number of new cases is increasing. In the national stage it was in the 7th position. 

In the state 435 new cases (1 day before-391, 2 days before- 415) as well as   12 death (1 day before-11, 2 days before-10) and 468 recovery (1 day before-505, 2 days before-534) is recorded today.

The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 12735 (1 day before-12300, 2 days before-11909) while active cases is 5216 (1 day before-5836, 2 days before-5515). The death toll from the disease till now is 518 (1 day before-506, 2 days before-495).

After recovery of the infection 7001 (1 day before-6533, days before-6028) are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has encouragingly increased to 54.97%

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 47, ICMR testing labs is being done at a very good rate and today 9315 (1 day before-9222, 2 days before-8512) samples within 24 hour were tested that tally 370291 (1 day before-360976, 2 days before-351754) till now since day 1.   

Today persons 141593 (1 day before-148209, 2 days before-152724) are currently under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and total 285321 persons (1 day before-281937, 2 days before-280963) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 143728 (1 day before-133728, 2 days before-128239).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are    10110 persons (1 day before-11434, 2 days before-12237) and so far from these centres 86512 persons (1 day before-84910, 2 days before-84701) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 69 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
