
Record recovery of cases in WB - 53.11 percent
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 17 June 2020: Todays report states a record recovery of cases of 53.11 percent though the number of new cases is increasing. In the national stage it was in the 7th position.
In the state 391 new cases (1 day before-415, 2 days before- 407) as well as 11 death (1 day before-10, 2 days before-10) and 505 recovery (1 day before-534, 2 days before-434) is recorded today.
The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 12300 (1 day before-11909, 2 days before-11494) while active cases is (1 day before-5836, 2 days before-5515). The death toll from the disease till now is 506 (1 day before-495, 2 days before-484).
After recovery of the infection 6533 (1 day before-6028, days before-5494) are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has encouragingly increased to 53.11%
The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 46, ICMR testing labs is being done at a very good rate and today 9222 (1 day before-8512, 2 days before-9509) samples within 24 hour were tested that tally 360976 (1 day before-351754, 2 days before-343242) till now since day 1.
Today 148209 persons (1 day before-152724, 2 days before-156528) are currently under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and total 281937 persons (1 day before-280963, 2 days before-280117) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance.
Number of people released from home quarantine was 133728 (1 day before-128239, 2 days before-123589).
Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 11434 persons (1 day before-12237, 2 days before-13128) and so far from these centres 84910 persons (1 day before-84701, 2 days before-83335) were released after recovery.
Currently in the state there are 69 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
