
2 dies of Coronavirus, 14 of Siliguri, 28 of Alipurduar, 7 of Jalpaiguri and 7 of Malda tests positive
Siliguri: Ashoke Bhattacharya tested positive: Ashoke Bhattacharya Siliguri, MLA and Chairman of the Board of Administrators of Siliguri Municipal Corporation tested positive to Covid-19. Today he is admitted at Dr.Chhang's Super Specialty Covid hospital.
2 died: Two persons of Siliguri died today tested positive to Covid-19. Bijendra Gupta 73 yr of ward no 10 of Church Road died at NBMCH. While trying for his admission he was denied admission in two nursing Homes. Finally he was brought to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) last night where he was reported brought dead. His test was done and tested positive today.
Another Rajkumar Shrestha 55 yr, of Mallaguri ward no 46 was admitted at Desun Covid hospital. He too died today and tested positive.
14 fresh infection: 14 persons including the Siliguri MLA and Chairman Ashok Bhattacharya tested positive today. They are 2 females and a phuchka vendor of ward no. 28, 2 of ward no. 20 including MLA Bhattacharya, 2 of ward no. 46, 1 each of Raj Ram Mohan Roy colony and ward nos. 2, 9, 13, 27, 30, 36 and 40.
Jalpaiguri: 7 new cases are reported from Jalpaiguri. Tally of district is 242 Confirmed cases in the district and 146 have recovered and 96 active cases.
Alipurduar: 28 new cases are reported again today from Alipurduar. All are returnees from other states. In the district there are 106 Confirmed cases, 50 recovered and 56 active cases.
Malda: 7 new cases reported. It includes 1 CCU technician staff of Malda Medical College and one woman police personnel.
Coochbehar: No new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 277 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and one of them had died 220 recovery and 55 active cases.
NBMCH
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 17 June 2020:
one 33 year old patient of Kalimpong admitted in ICU of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) tested positive, another 25 year staff of NBMCH too tested positive.
There are 6 patients in Isolation ward, 1 patient in Respiratory ICU Isolation ward and 1 in gynecological isolation ward. 2 patients of RICU ward died today while one tested positive.
Covid hospital
In Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 68 patients are admitted and under treatment.
19 patients of GTA area are in Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital. There are 5 patients, they are -2 of Frymal Village, 1 of Giddey Pahar, 1 of Ambotia,1 of Tindharia.
14 of Kalimpong (1 of 12 Dhurey Kalimpong Municipality, 1 of Relli Road, 1 of Middle Bong Busty, 1 of Tindhurey and 10 of Gorubathan).
DESUN hospital
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 17 June 2020:
DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Siliguri. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 22 Covid-19 patients are admitted and under treatment.
GTA
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 17 June 2020:
The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 3003 and in Kalimpong district it is 1601, the tally of GTA area stands to 4604.
Altogether there are 129 persons in 10 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.
Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 222 confirmed cases of which 108 have recovered and 4 died while 110 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 46 confirmed cases of which 24 have recovered, 1 died and 21 are active cases. Alipurduar has 102 confirmed cases of which 33 have recovered while 69 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 255 confirmed cases of which 114 have recovered and 141 are active cases. CoochBehar has 283 confirmed cases of which 212 have recovered and 71 are active cases.
