On 30th June- State records Recovery rate-65.35 %., 652 new cases, 411 recovery, 18559 confirmed cases

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 30 June 2020: Todays report states a record and encouraging recovery of cases equivalent to 65.35 percent though the number of new cases is increasing in a slow rate. West Bengal is now at 7th position in terms of the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the state 652 new cases (1 day before-624, 2 days before- 572) as well as  15 death (1 day before-14, 2 days before-10) and 411 recovery (1 day before-526, 2 days before-404) is recorded in the last 24 hours.

The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 18559 (1 day before-17907, 2 days before-17283) while active cases is 5761 (1 day before-5535, 2 days before-5451). The death toll from the disease till now is  668 (1 day before-653, 2 days before-639).

After recovery of the infection 12130 (1 day before-11719, days before-11193) Covid patients are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has encouragingly increased to 65.35 %.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 51, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 9619 (1 day before-9513, 2 days before-10563) samples were tested that tally 488038 (1 day before-478419, 2 days before-468906) till now since day 1.   

In the last 24 hours, 65990 persons (1 day before-71466, 2 days before-77217) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 313603 persons (1 day before-310658, 2 days before-308510) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 247613 (1 day before-239192, 2 days before-231293).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 6795 persons (1 day before- 6931, 2 days before- 6937) and so far from these centres 96162 persons (1 day before-95944, 2 days before-95383) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 78 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 25 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
