3 Covid deaths reported, 42 released, 13 positive cases (including 3 deaths) recorded in Siliguri, 31 of Malda, 4 of Alipurduar, 5 of Jalpaiguri, 1 of Coochbehar tested positive.

Siliguri:

3 Covid patient died : A 55 year old patient of Salugara ward no 42 died today.  Kiran Devi the deceased patient was admitted at Desun Hospital on 25 June. She died this afternoon.

There is report of 2 more deaths who died on 28 June and 29 June. 

A 53 yr old female patient Subhasri Das of ward no.30 died on 29 June. Her swab test result was notified today and she was detected positive to Covid-19. Her husband is being treated for Covid-19 since some days. Another 74 yr old female patient Chhaya Poddar of ward no.17 had died on 28 June but detected positive to Covid-19 today. Her dead body was handed over to the family and cremated by them before the test result, it has caused some anomaly in the process. 

10 new cases: 3 of ward no.39 (31 yr old, 32 yr old, 64 yr old) and 1 each of ward no.4 (45 yr old), ward no.9 (79 yr old and admitted in a private nursing home), ward no.14 (39 yr old and admitted in a private nursing home), ward no.15 (61 yr old), ward no.29 (40 yr old), ward no.38 (34 yr old), and ward no.40 (39 yr old)

Recovery: 42 patients released from three Covid hospitals. 19 patients from Desun Covid hospital, 22 from Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital and 1 from Triveni hospital GTA are released after testing negative in repeat test and recovery from the infection. 

Alipurduar:   4 new cases is reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 186 Confirmed cases, 134 recovered and 52 active cases.

Coochbehar:  1  new case of Covid 19 infection reported. The complete report of the district is 297 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 289 recovery and 7 active cases. 

Jalpaiguri:  5 new case from Jalpaiguri. Tally of district is 341 Confirmed cases of which 258 have recovered, 1 died and 82 are active cases.

Malda: 31 new cases reported from Malda. It includes 2 nurses, 1civic police, 1 staff of MMCH, 2 government officers. One patient of Kaliachak died today, death tally stands to 2.

There are 622 Confirmed cases, 346 recovered and 274 active cases.

NBMCH

There are 4 patients in the three Isolation ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). In the Isolation ward 1 patient, and 3 in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU) are admitted. 

1 of Kurseong is released today.

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 72 patients are admitted today. 

3 patients of Darjeeling, GTA area are in the Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital. They are 1 of Chunabhatti Tindharia, 1 of Kaijaley and 1 of Badamtam.

1 of Barnesburg and 3 of Mirik are released today.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 41 Covid-19 patients are admitted today in this hospital.. 

   

Tribeni Hospital

This is the only Covid hospital of Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) covering two districts of Darjeeling and Kalimpong.

2 patients with SARI (Severe Acute Respiratory Illness) symptoms from Kalimpong and one from Darjeeling are admitted in this hospital.

One from Kalimpong is released today. There are 3 patients today.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

1 patient of Gorubathan of GTA with asymptomatic Covid positive diagnosis is admitted to Hatighisa Safe House. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 29 June 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1956 and in Kalimpong district is 1218, the tally of GTA area stands to 3177. 

Altogether there are 67 persons in 8 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 488 confirmed cases of which 257 have recovered and 10 died while 221 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 52 confirmed cases of which 46 have recovered, 1 died and 5 are active cases. Alipurduar has 182 confirmed cases of which 153 have recovered while 29 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 353 confirmed cases of which 280 have recovered and 73 are active cases. CoochBehar has 303 confirmed cases of which 296 have recovered and 7 are active cases. Malda has 646 confirmed cases of which 369 have recovered and 1 died and 276 are active cases.
