Shops of Champasari will be closed for ten days starting from 17 June, Vegetable and Fruit stalls of Bidhan market will also be shifted to Kanchanjunga stadium from 18 June.

Kurseong: 1 expectant mother of Kurseong has tested positive.

Siliguri: Todayhighest number of infected persons is reported.from Siliguri Those who tested positive and admitted are 5 of Tikiapara ward no. 28, 2 of Rajivnagar Darjeeling more Ward no 46 including one police constable, 2 of Chayanpara Ward No 41, 2 of Lichubagan of Bagrakote, 1 each of Lake town Nabagram, Subhaspalli - College para, Ghugumali ward no.37, Sevoke Road, Yadavpalli ward no 7, Maharaj colony ward no. 4, Bhupendranagar Ektiasal ward no 43, Samannagar ward no 18 and Shravannagar which has the highest number of infected persons. Of the 20 cases one  also has tested positive.

Vegetable and fruit shops of Champasari closes from 17 June, Siliguri Regulated market is closed for 7 days. Shops of Champasari will be closed for ten days starting from 17 June, Vegetable and Fruit stalls of Bidhan market will also be shifted to Kanchanjunga stadium from 18 June.Fish market is already closed.

Malda:   3 people tested positive to Covid-19.Total Confirmed cases in the district is 315.

Alipurduar: No new case is reported today. In the district there are 50 Confirmed case, 40 recovered and 10 active cases.

Jalpaiguri:  No new cases reported today. 30 recovered today. Tally of district is 222 Confirmed cases in the district and 146 have recovered and 76 active cases. A VRDL laboratory will be started in Jalpaiguri.3 quarantine centres will be transformed into hospital for symptomatic persons.

Coochbehar: 5 new cases reported today. The complete report of the district is 260 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and one of them had died 213 recovery and 46 active cases. 

Released: 16 patients of Darjeeling and 30 patients of Jalpaiguri district tested negative and were released from Jalpaiguri Covid hospital.

34 patients of GTA area are in the Dr. Chhang’s SSC hospital. There are 9 patients, they are -2 of Frymal Village, 1 of Giddey Pahar, 1 of Tindharia, 1 of Ambotia, 2 of Badamtam, 1  of Teesta Valley and 1 of Springside.

In North Bengal Medical College and Hospital a patient of Uttar Dinajpur admitted in Respiratory ICU ward 19 died today. His swab test is not yet out. Presently in NBMCH patients with symptoms similar to Covid 19 are admitted. Today there are 2 patients in Respiratory ICU Isolation ward, 3 patients in gynecological isolation ward.

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 15 June 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 3113 and in Kalimpong district it is 1505, the tally of GTA area stands to 4618. 

Altogether there are 184 persons in 10 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 219 confirmed cases of which 93 have recovered and 4 died while 122 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 45 confirmed cases of which 16 have recovered, 1 died and 28 are active cases. Alipurduar has 74 confirmed cases of which 31 have recovered while 43 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 234 confirmed cases of which 77 have recovered and 157 are active cases. CoochBehar has 264 confirmed cases of which 211 have recovered and 53 are active cases.
