New cases reported -14 of Siliguri, 24 of Malda, 8 of Jalpaiguri and 7 of Coochbehar - Private testing of Covid.

Siliguri:

14 persons tested positive: Today 14 persons of different wards of Siliguri Municipal Corporation tested positive. They are 4 cases from Ward no. 38 (35 yr old, 29 yr old, 3 yr old, 33 yr old), 2 from ward no. 33 (50 yr old, 27 yr old), 2 from ward no.11 (97 yr old and 67 yr old), 35 yr old of ward no.4, 40 yr old of ward no.10, 55 yr old of ward no.30, 22 yr old of ward no.43 and a 31 yr old person of ward no.40.

Health condition of Ashok Bhattacharya Chairman of SMC has improved. He is clinically and Haemodynamically stable. He had a fall in Oxygen saturation but immediately addressed. His oxygen requirement has increased marginally. His ECHO and ECG are within normal limits. He is under close monitoring in ICU.

Closure of Regulated market is extended for another week. Other markets of Siliguri namely Hyderpara, Salugara and Ektiasal Bazar are closed for a week. 

Government of West Bengal has fixed a rate for Covid test in private hospital. It is Rs 2250. 

Malda: 24 new cases reported from Malda. 9 of the cases are from English Bazar. 

5 women police personnel and 1 health staff tested positive. It is noteworthy to mention that huge number of medical staff and police personnel including CMOH, Deputy CMOH of the district have been infected of the virus. 22 patients are released after testing negative.

There are 497 Confirmed cases, 250 recovered and 127 active cases  

Alipurduar: Yesterday 4 case was reported from Alipurduar. All four were police personnel in duty at Malda. no new case is reported from the district. There are 181 Confirmed cases, 102 recovered and 79 active cases.

Coochbehar:  7 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported. The complete report of the district is 291 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and one of them had died, 281 recovery and 09 active cases. 

Jalpaiguri: 8 new case is reported from Jalpaiguri and of them one case is from Mal Bazar. She is from ward no. 14 and admitted at NBMCH for her kidney related ailment. After testing positive she is transferred to Covid hospital. It is the 7th case of Mal. Tally of district is 316 Confirmed cases of which 137 have recovered and 179 are active cases.

Released: 5 patients were discharged from Desun hospital after testing negative.

NBMCH

There are 7 patients in the Isolation ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).In the Isolation ward I- 1 , Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU) 3 and Gynecological unit 3 patients are admitted. 

One 26 yr old admitted in Isolation ward died today. The patient tested negative.

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 97 patients are admitted today. 27 are admitted today.

5 patients of GTA area are in the Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital, of them 4 patients are from Darjeeling district and they are 1 of Kaijaley, 1 of Sonada, 1 of Badamtam, 1 of Barnesburg a

From Kalimpong ,1 patient of Munsong is admitted.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 41 Covid-19 patients are admitted and new 5 were admitted today. 

5 patients were released from this hospital after testing negative.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

3 patients with asymptomatic Covid positive diagnosis are admitted to Hatighisa Safe House.1 of Dudhia transferred from Desun hospital -and 1 of Soureni admitted 

District reports

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 409 confirmed cases of which 215 have recovered and 9 died while 185 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 52 confirmed cases of which 44 have recovered, 1 died and 7 are active cases. Alipurduar has 178 confirmed cases of which 92 have recovered while 86 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 326 confirmed cases of which 243 have recovered and 83 are active cases. CoochBehar has 291 confirmed cases of which 281 have recovered and 10.
