New cases- 1 Covid health worker dies in DESUN hospital, 4 from Darjeeling, 8 from Jalpaiguri, 11 from Malda, 19 from Siliguri: 63 from Coochbehar and 24 from Jalpaiguri were released.

Death: 1 health staff of Matigara died today. Bishnu Chattopadhyay was Optometrist of Phansidewa Health Centre. The 56 year old optometrist was ailing for some time and had been admitted in a nursing home of Siliguri where his Covid test was done. He tested positive last night and referred to DESUN hospital this morning and died tonight. 

All those 4 died in NBMCH yesterday tested negative.

Darjeeling: 4 persons have tested positive, Of them 2 are from ward no. 45 and 46 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, and 2 from Darjeeling Municipality area.

Jalpaiguri: 8 cases is reported from the district. Of these 1 is of Nagarkatta and 5 persons are from Mal Bazar. A nurse of Mal SS hospital is one of the patients. She had arrived from Birbhum to her rented apartment at ward no.4. The nurse was in quarantine after her arrival to Mal Bazar a week ago and her swab sample was taken and today her test result was out. Some days ago another nurse of the Mal SS hospital also had tested positive. All are admitted at Jalpaiguri Covid hospital. 

Today 24 were released. There are 190 Confirmed cases in the district and 92 have recovered. 

Coochbehar: 13 new cases is reported today. The complete report of the district is 254 confirmed cases of which 2 are national of Bangladesh of which 1 died, 63 were released today that tally 179 recovery and 74 active cases.

Alipurduar: No new cases is reported. In the district there are 48 Confirmed case, 15 Recovered and 33 active cases.

Malda: 11 new cases reported. It includes a blood bank staff. 2 nurses of MMCH and Malda SARI hospital were already admitted at Malda Covid hospital of which 1 tested negative. Confirmed cases tally stands at 261.

Released: 19 patients from Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital and 2 from DESUN hospital recovered and were released today. 63 of Coochbehar and 24 of Jalpaiguri tested negative and were released from Covid hospital. A dentist doctor is also relessed.

In Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital there are 66 patients. Of these 35 patients are of GTA area there are 15 patients, they are -1 of Mirik, 1 of Kurseong, 1 of Tindharia, 1 of Ambotia, 1 of Chimney, 1of Toong Gairigaon, 4 of Malutar, 2 of Badamtam, 1 of Frymal Village, 1  of Teesta Valley,  1 of Nagarifarm. 

20 are from Kalimpong and they are- 1 of Kalimpong Municipality, 1 of Relli Road, 1 of Sherpa gaon, 1 of Malli Road, 1 of Middle Bong Busty, 1 of Rambi Reang, 1 of Tindhurey, 1 of Pedong, 1 of Kumai and 11 of Gorubathan.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 13 June 2020: 

Presently in North Bengal Medical College and Hospital patients with symptoms similar to Covid 19 area also being admitted n isolation wardsi. 

There are 8 patients in Isolation ward I, 7 patients in gynecological isolation ward,3 patients in surgical ward and there are 3 patients in Respiratory ICU. 

I patient of Coochbehar admitted at Isolation -I has tested positive.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital has started working as Covid hospital. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 49 Covid-19 patients are admitted. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 13 June 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 3226 and in Kalimpong district it is 1621, the tally of GTA area stands to 4847. 

Altogether there are 244 persons in 22 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 210 confirmed cases of which 52 have recovered and 3 died while 155 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 47 confirmed cases of which 11 have recovered, 1 died and 35 are active cases. Alipurduar has 40 confirmed cases of which 7 have recovered while 33 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 169 confirmed cases of which 32 have recovered and 137 are active cases. CoochBehar has 221 confirmed cases of which 71 have recovered and 150 are active cases.
