In west Bengal recovery rate has encouragingly increased to 50.61%

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 16 June 2020: Todays report states a record recovery of cases of 50.61 percent though the number of new cases is increasing. In the national stage it was in the 7th position.

In the state 415 new cases (1 day before-407, 2 days before- 389) as well as 10 death (1 day before-10, 2 days before-12) and 534 recovery (1 day before-434, 2 days before-518) is recorded today.

The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 11909 (1 day before-11494, 2 days before-11087) while active cases is 5836 (1 day before-5515, 2 days before-5552). The death toll from the disease till now is 495 (1 day before-484, 2 days before-475).

After recovery of the infection 6028 (1 day before-5494, days before-5060) are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has encouragingly increased to 50.61%

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 45, ICMR testing labs is being done at a very good rate and today 8512 (1 day before-9509, 2 days before-9026) samples within 24 hour were tested that tally 351754 (1 day before-343242, 2 days before-333733) till now since day 1.

Today 152724 persons (1 day before-156528, 2 days before-157923) are currently under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and total 280963 persons (1 day before-280117, 2 days before-277551) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 128239 (1 day before-123589, 2 days before-119628).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 12237 persons (1 day before-13128, 2 days before-14259) and so far from these centres 84701 persons (1 day before-83335, 2 days before-81930) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 69 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
