Fresh Cases of Covid 19- 14 and 8 of Siliguri including staff of a nursing home, 51 of Malda, 22 of Jalpaiguri, 14 of Coochbehar: Recovery cases- 38 of Darjeeling and others, 24 of Jalpaiguri, 94 of Coochbehar tested negative.

Siliguri: 14 cases of fresh infection of Coronavirus is reported from Siliguri. They are - 5 staff of a nursing home of Pradhan Nagar, 2 person of Ward no. 5 and 7 of Ward no. 46. They are related to Covid patients of regulated market. It includes a lady of Matigara. 

Beside that yesterday 7 of Dabgram GP and an 36 year old Airhostess of Panitanki of Khoribari and returned from Bangalore also tested negative. 

7 cases of Covid infection was reported from Khudiram Pally of Dabgram 2 Gram Panchayat. Their report was received last night. All 7 are admitted at Jalpaiguri Covid hospital at Viswa Bangla Krirangan.

Of the 7 of Dabgram GP, two are members of a family whose relative is a 54 year old Covid patient. Other five reside in the same colony near Eastern Byepass. The 54 year old patient is from Banewswar more Dabgram II, Khudiram Palli who use to work as a tailor in a boutique of Momo Gulli of Seth Shreelal building. During the lockdown period he was in financial crisis and he started selling fishes. He developed some Covid like symptoms and was admitted at DESUN hospital. There his swab sample was taken for Covid and the test result was positive to Covid-19. He is admitted at Dr. Chhang’s SS C hospital. 

Jalpaiguri: 22 found infected of Covid-19, they are 1 from Nagarkatta,  6 of Matelli, and 5 of Dhupgiri. 

Tally of district is 222 Confirmed cases in the district and 92 have recovered and 130 active cases.

All positive patients are returnee from different states.24 patients were recovered today. 

Alipurduar: 1 fresh case is reported.In the district there are 48 Confirmed case, 18 Recovered and 30 active cases.

Coochbehar: 14 new cases is reported today. 94 of the district tested negative and as they recovered from the infection all 94 were released from the hospital. The complete report of the district is 295 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and one of them had died 250 recovery and 43 active cases. 

Malda: 51 fresh people tested positive to Covid-19. It is the highest rate of 24 hr. Confirmed cases tally as of today stands at 312.

Released: 38 of Darjeeling and other districts tested negative and were released. 24 of Jalpaiguri and 94 of Coochbehar tested negative and were released from Covid hospital of its district. Yesterday, 14 patients from Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital and 2 from DESUN hospital recovered and were released.

In Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 66 patients are admitted. 

32 patients of GTA area are in this hospital. They are -1 of Mirik, 1 of Kurseong, 1 of Tindharia, 1 of Ambotia, 2 of Badamtam, 1  of Teesta Valley and 2 of Darjeeling. 

23 of Kalimpong (1 of Kalimpong Municipality, 1 of Relli Road, 1 of Sherpa gaon, 1 of Malli Road, 1 of Middle Bong Busty, 1 of Rambi Reang, 1 of Tindhurey, 1 of Pedong, 1 of Kumai and 14 of Gorubathan)

8 of Darjeeling were released yesterday.

Presently in North Bengal Medical College and Hospital patients with symptoms similar to Covid 19 are admitted. 

There are 3 patients in Isolation ward I, 3 patients in gynecological isolation ward while in surgical ward there are 2 patients. 

2 patients of Gorubathan were admitted at isolation ward of NBMCH. 

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital has started working as Covid hospital. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 49 Covid-19 patients are admitted.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 14 June 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 3180 and in Kalimpong district it is 1598, the tally of GTA area stands to 4778. 

Altogether there are 231 persons in 17 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

2 patients of Gorubathan were admitted in isolation ward of NBMCH. 

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 197 confirmed cases of which 80 have recovered and 4 died while 113 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 45 confirmed cases of which 16 have recovered, 1 died and 28 are active cases. Alipurduar has 45 confirmed cases of which 31 have recovered while 14 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 217 confirmed cases of which 60 have recovered and 157 are active cases. CoochBehar has 259 confirmed cases of which 211 have recovered and 48 are active cases.
