Encouraging recovery rate in the state- gradually increasing to 55.79 percent
In the state 355 new cases (1 day before-435, 2 days before- 391) as well as 11 death (1 day before-12, 2 days before-11) and 302 recovery (1 day before-468, 2 days before-505) is recorded in the last 24 hours.
The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 13090 (1 day before-12735, 2 days before-12300) while active cases is (1 day before-5216, 2 days before-5836). The death toll from the disease till now is 529 (1 day before-518, 2 days before-506).
After recovery of the infection 7303 (1 day before-7001, days before-6533) are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has encouragingly increased to 55.79%
The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 48, ICMR testing labs is being done at a very good rate and in the last 24 hours 10321 (1 day before-9315, 2 days before-9222) samples within 24 hour were tested that tally 380612 (1 day before-370291, 2 days before-360976) till now since day 1.
Currently 142869 persons (1 day before-141593, 2 days before-148209) were currently under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 296695 persons (1 day before-285321, 2 days before-281937) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.
Number of people released from home quarantine was 153826 (1 day before-143728, 2 days before-133728).
Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 9484 persons (1 day before-10110, 2 days before-11434) and so far from these centres 88279 persons (1 day before-86512, 2 days before-84910) were released after recovery.
Currently in the state there are 69 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
