BDO of Old Malda tests positive, 24 cases reported from Siliguri, 4 medical staff of Mirik including a doctor , 20 of Malda tests positive

Siliguri:

24 persons of different wards of Siliguri Municipal Corporation tested positive. They are 4 (23 yr, 52 yr, 18 yr and 48 yr old ) of ward no.38, 3 (53 yr, 32 yr,11 yr old) of ward no. 31, 2 (49 yr, 35 yr ) from ward no. 2, and (70 yr, 6 yr) ward no. 33,; 1 from each - 64 yr old of ward no. 11, 23 yr old of ward no.14, 71 yr old of ward no. 22, 57 yr old of ward no. 25, 47 yr old of ward no. 28, 25 yr old of ward no.36, 7 yr old of ward no. 39, 65 yr old of ward no.42, and a person of Liten Colony of Matigara. 

Considering several death of patients with symptoms of Covid and Comorbidity in North in to two Covid hospitals specially Desun Hospital, a super specialist team consisting of eight doctors is constituted for the treatment of patients of Desun hospital. It consists of specialist doctors like gastroenterologist, neuromedicine, neurologist, nephrologist, cardiologist, orthopedist and psychiatrist.  The critical care unit of the hospital will be equipped with more sophisticated equipments.  

Yesterday 32 had tested positive: They were 34 yr old of Ward no. 04, 61 yr old of Ward no.05, 26 yr old of Ward No.6, 36 yr old of Ward no.11, 45 yr old of Ward no.14, 43 yr old of Ward no.15, 17 yr old of Ward no.15, 6 yr old of Ward no.15, 23 yr old of Ward no.16, 38 yr old of Ward no.17, 55 yr old of Ward no.18, 32 yr old of Ward no.18, 34 yr old of Ward no.20, 29 yr old of Ward no.22, 24 yr old of Ward no.26, 29 yr old of Wad no.28, 80 yr old of Ward no.29, 65 yr old of Ward no.29, 56 yr old of Ward no.30, 57 yr old of Ward no.39, 10 yr old of Ward no.39, 14 yr old of Ward no.39, 35 yr old of Ward no.39, 55 yr old of Ward no.40, 31 yr old of Ward no.42, 26 yr old of Ward no.43, 30 yr old of Ward no.44, 24 yr old of Ward no.46, 22 yr old of Ward no.46, 24 yr old of Ward no.47.

Health condition of Ashok Bhattacharya, Chairman of SMC has improved a lot, but he again tested positive for the third time after testing negative once. 

4 of Mirik tested positive- 4 health staff of Mirik hospital have tested positive, 1 doctor, 2 nurses and a group D staff of the hospital have been admitted to a Covid hospital. 

Mirik will remain closed for the next 7 days. There will be seven days complete lockdown declared the BDO of Mirik.

Malda: 20 new cases reported from Malda. Most of the cases are from English Bazar. It is feared that community spread of the disease might have started in Malda, that’s why the number of infected is increasing day by day. 

BDO of the Old Mal also has tested positive and has been admitted at Siliguri with symptoms like fever, respiratory problem and severe cough. Of the 20, 4 are police personnel and from Alipurduar. It is noteworthy to mention that huge number of medical staff and police personnel including CMOH and Deputy CMOH of the district were infected of the virus. 

There are 473 Confirmed cases, 250 recovered and 103 active cases in the district.  

Released: 14 patients from Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital and 3 patients from Desun hospital  were released after recovery and testing negative.

There are 15 patients in the Isolation ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).In the Isolation ward I- 3 patients , in Surgical ward 2 patients , in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU) 7 patients and in Gynecological unit 3 patients are admitted. 

1 patients of Sukuna is admitted today. 

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 71 patients are admitted today. 

14 are released from this Covid hospital.

5 patients of GTA area are in the Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital, of them 4 patients are from Darjeeling district and they are 1 of Kaijaley, 1 of Sonada, 1 of Badamtam, 1 of Barnesburg a

From Kalimpong ,1 patient of Munsong is admitted.

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 41 Covid-19 patients are admitted and new 6 were admitted today. 1 patient of Topkhana Kalimpong is admitted.

3 patients were released from this hospital after testing negative.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

3 patients with asymptomatic Covid positive diagnosis are admitted to Hatighisa Safe House.1 of Dudhia transferred from Desun hospital -and 1 of Soureni are admitted 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 25 June 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 2178 and in Kalimpong district it is 1486, the tally of GTA area stands to 3853. 

Today, altogether there are 71 persons in 8 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 395 confirmed cases of which 206 have recovered and 8 died while 181 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 52 confirmed cases of which 43 have recovered, 1 died and 8 are active cases. Alipurduar has 178 confirmed cases of which 81 have recovered while 97 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 318 confirmed cases of which 234 have recovered and 84 are active cases. CoochBehar has 291 confirmed cases of which 266 have recovered and 25 are active cases. Malda has 489 confirmed cases of which 297 have recovered and 192 are active cases
