A 74 yr old Covid patient dies in NBMCH, 22 positive cases from Siliguri including 3 SMC staff, 3 from Darjeeling hills, 46 from Alipurduar, 14 from Malda including CMOH,

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 20 June 2020: 

Siliguri: One died:- 74 yr old Shankar Das, a Covid patient of Fulbari admitted in RICU of NBMCH died today. 22 cases reported today from SMC area- They are 2 of 15, 2 of 35, 11, 17, 29, 33, 34, 37, 39, 40, 44, 46, 47. Beside that three staff of Siliguri Municipal Corporation of Ward nos. 3, 9 and 16. 

Treatment of Ashok Bhattacharya is continuing under three doctors and using special medicines. Doctors are monitoring his health condition.

Last late night it was reported that 9 more persons tested positive. 7 persons of ward no. of 36 and 2 persons of ward no. 12 tested positive.

Darjeeling:  3 cases reported from Sukhipokhari block, they are a 35 year person of Ringtang and 23 year old of Gopaldhara Tea Estate  and a 19 yr of Dudhia of Mirik

State government has decided to open more Covid-19 Care centres. These hospitals will treat asymptomatic Covid patients. In Siliguri 3 Covid -19 Care Centres will be established to lessen the crowd of Covid hospitals.

 

Discharge: 13 patients tasted twice negative and were discharged from Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital.

Alipurduar: A record of 46 new cases reported from Alipurduar. All are returnees from Maharashtra In the district there are 152 Confirmed cases, 88 recovered and 64 active cases.

Malda: 14 new cases from the district reported. CMOH of the district and a police officer has tested positive. In the district there are 399 Confirmed cases, 216 recovered and 183 active cases. 

Jalpaiguri: No new cases are reported from Jalpaiguri. 1 person died he was admitted at SARI hospital of Jalpaiguri and later referred to NBMCH. Tally of district is 272 Confirmed cases in the district and 137 have recovered and 135 active cases.

Coochbehar: No new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 282 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and one of them had died 227 recovery and 51 active cases. 

NBMCH

NBMCH: There are 2 patients in Isolation ward and 4 patients in surgical isolation ward and 3 in Gynecological isolation ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). 

2 patients admitted in Respiratory ICU died today. 

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 69 patients are admitted. 

6 patients of GTA area are in the Dr. Chhang’s SSC hospital. There are 3 patients of Darjeeling district, they are -1 of Frymal Village, 1 of Ambotia,1 of Tindharia and 3 are from Gorubathan of Kalimpong district.

DESUN hospital

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 20 June 2020: 

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Siliguri. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 25 Covid-19 patients are admitted. 

1 patient of Dudhia admitted at NBMCH is transferred to Desun Covid hospital.

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 20 June 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 2813 and in Kalimpong district it is 1631, the tally of GTA area stands to 4444. 

Altogether there are 122 persons in 9 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 268 confirmed cases of which 144 have recovered and 5 died while 119 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 50 confirmed cases of which 36 have recovered, 1 died and 13 are active cases. Alipurduar has 149 confirmed cases of which 39 have recovered while 110 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 285 confirmed cases of which 139 have recovered and 146 are active cases. CoochBehar has 288 confirmed cases of which 253 have recovered and 35 are active cases.
