2 Covid patient dies, 9 from Siliguri, 11 of Jalpaiguri, 25 of Malda, infected with Covid-19

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 23 June 2020:  

Siliguri: 

2 dead: 1 of Ward no 46 Jyotinagar died today in Desun hospital. The 66 year old Kartik Basak was previously admitted another nursing home and shifted yesterday to Desun hospital. 

Another 64 year old patient Bimal Kumar Pal of ward no 17 Collegepara admitted in Dr. Chhang's SS Covid hospital and died today also tested positive. He had earlier visited Siliguri District hospital and admitted to Dr. Chhang's Covid hospital on 20th June.

9 new cases of Covid-19 is reported from Siliguri. They are 3 of a family from ward no 28, and one each from ward nos., 1 and 4, 46 and17. 

A resident of Chaupukuria Phansidewa has tested positive. She is a staff of a branch of SBI bank and today admitted to Dr. Chhang’s Super Specialty Covid hospital. 

A staff of NBMCH and resident of Jalpaiguri is also tested positive.

Physical condition of both Ashok Bhattacharya and Mukul Sengupta of SMC has considerably improved and after both testing negative in the first test are waiting for the result of the second test done today.

As several shop owners and their staff are infected of Covid-19, Bidhan Market is closed from 24 June to 28 June.

Coochbehar:  2 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported after four days of no cases. The complete report of the district is 284 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and one of them had died, 258 recovery and 24 active cases. 

Alipurduar: No new cases reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 180 Confirmed cases, 88 recovered and 92 active cases.

Malda: 25 new cases reported from Malda. It is reported that community spread of the disease is started in Malda. Infected includes Deputy CMOH of the district.

There are 447 Confirmed cases, 250 recovered and 97 active cases 

Jalpaiguri: 11 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri and they are 1 from Oodlabri of Mal and 10 from Rajgunj block. Tally of district is 300 Confirmed cases of which 137 have recovered and 135 are active cases.

Released: 16 patients after recovery were discharged from Covid hospital.

There are 9 patients in Isolation ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). In the ID-I ward there are 4 patients while in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU) 3 patient and 2 in Gynecological isolation ward are admitted. 

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 80 patients are admitted today. 16 patients are newly admitted today.

6 patients of GTA area are in the Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital, of them 5 patients are from Darjeeling district and they are 1 of Kaijaley, 1 of Sonada, 1 of Badamtam, 1 of Barnesburg and 1 of Ambotia. 

From Kalimpong ,1 patient of Munsong is admitted.

Shifted to Safe House 1 of Gopal Dhura TE, 1 of Lower Chungthung

 

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 43 Covid-19 patients are admitted today. Of them 10 are newly admitted today.

1 of Dudhia (Darjeeling) and 1 of Topkhana (Kalimpong) are also admitted.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

4 patients with asymptomatic Covid positive diagnosis are admitted to Hatighisa Safe House.(1 no of Gopal Dhura, Mirik and 1 no of Lower Chungthung, 2 nos of Gorubathan block)

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 23 June 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 2370 and in Kalimpong district it is 1613, the tally of GTA area stands to 3983. 

Altogether there are 82 persons in 11 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 348 confirmed cases of which 180 have recovered and 5 died while 163 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 52 confirmed cases of which 40 have recovered, 1 died and 11 are active cases. Alipurduar has 177 confirmed cases of which 68 have recovered while 109 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 316 confirmed cases of which 182 have recovered and 134 are active cases. CoochBehar has 288 confirmed cases of which 264 have recovered and 24 are active cases.
