12 of Kalimpong district tested positive..6 of Darjeeling. 50 percent patients of north Bengal have recovered
Of the 12 persons of Kalimpong 11 are from Gorubathan block while 1 is from Kalimpong I
There are 6 male and 6 female and all of them have travel history and returnees from other states.
From Kalimpong I block the patient is a 21 yr female from Bhoteydhara. From Gorubathan block- 5 patients are from Mal Busty, Shermali and Mission hill. From Jaldhaka area of the Gorubathan block patients are from Kumai, 46 Block Gairibas and Suruk
Yesterdays report received from the VRDL of NBMCH stated that the 42 persons were found to be positive to Covid-19. Of them 36 were of 10th June while 6 were of 9th June.
Out of 36 positive patients, 11 are medical staff of NBMCH and 1 of Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital. 11 consists of 3 doctors and 5 staff NBMCH, 1 nurse and 1 OT staff, 1 Gr D. and 1 house keeping staff of Dr, Chhang’ s SS hospital.
Others are a 16 yr female of Tung, 5 family members of Champasari ward no. 46 who got contacted the virus from a family member now under treatment and isolation, 2 brothers and their mother of Sidhi Green Bhanu Nagar, 2 people of Pradhan Nagar.
It also includes a 45 yr of
Champasari who sells fish, a 24 yr old of Champasari, a 60 yr old lady of Naya
Bazar Ward No 8, a 19 yr of Siliguri, a 49 yr of Jhankar More admitted at NBMCH, a
50 yr of Gurung Busty contacted from a covid patient of family, a 54 yr male of
Rajibnagar whose wife got infected some days back.
Others are -a 20 yr female
of Bhadrajote Khoribari, a 30 yr female of Leusiapokhari Phansidewa,
a 40 yr male of Kamala Bagan- Bagdogra suffering from Liver Jaundice &
respiratory distress and admitted at DESUN hospital, a 30 yr male of Tikiapara.
Report also included patients
of other districts but admitted at Siliguri. They are - a 18 yr female of Anandapur
Malbazar, a 40 yr of Deshbandhunagar Jalpaiguri, and a 50 yr female of Raigunj.
