Increase in death rate from 122 to 134.... new cases from 3525 to 3722

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 14 May 2020: On the 51st day (9th day of the 3rd phase) of the lockdown, while the government is yet to make any announcements on the extension of the shutdown, the Centre today issued a set of work from home guidelines for all its employees. According to the notification, no classified information shall be handled through e-office during this period.
Globally, over 43 lakh people have been infected, while close to three lakh have died so far. The US has recorded the most fatalities at 84,133, followed by UK (33,264) and Italy (31,106). 5 more coronavirus cases reported in Nepal taking the total number of cases in the country to 250.
Goa is no longer Green Zone as 7 new cases is reported.
1001 police personnel have tested positive for COVID-19 in Maharashtra, of which 851 are active cases, 142 recovered and 8 deaths.

Within the last 24 hours, the followings data on Covid-19 in the country is recorded;  death 134 (1 day before-122, 2 days before-97) taking the death toll to 2549 (1 day before-2415, 2 days before-2293) and  3722 (1 day before-3525, 2 days before-3604) new cases, has been recorded in the whole country. Confirmed cases 78003 (1 day before-74281, 2 days before-70756) and 49219 (1 day before-47598, 2 days before-46008) active cases are recorded today.  
Today 26235 (1 day before-24386, 2 days before-22454) have recovered so far according to the latest update released by the Union Ministry for Health and Family Welfare. 

Maharashtra remains the worst-hit state of the country with 25922 (1 day before-24427, 2 days before-23401) confirmed cases and 975 (1 day before-921, 2 days before-868) deaths and 5547 (1 day before- 5125, 2 days before-4786) recovery. 

The second highest increase is observed in Gujrat, it has 9267 (1 day before-8903, 2 days before-8541 confirmed cases and 566 (1 day before-537, 2 days before-513) death and 3562 (1 day before-3246, 2 days before-2780) recovery and release from Hospital. 

The next is Tamilnadu which has exceeded the record of Delhi with 9227 (1 day before-8718, 2 days before-8002) confirmed cases and 64 (1 day before-61, 2 days before-53) death and 2176 (1 day before-2134, 2 days before-2051) recovery.

The next is Delhi with 7998 (1 day before-7639, 2 days before-7233) confirmed cases and 106 (1 day before—86, 2 days before-73) death and 2858 (1 day before-2512, 2 days before-2129) recovery.
