1 killed 2 injured, as two wheeler collides with Bolero at Kalijhora

YOWAN MOTHAY, EOI, KALIMPONG, APRIL 25, 2022 : Dhiren Rai (40), driving a two-wheeler, was killed on the spot when the two-wheeler crashed with a Bolero on National Highway 10 at Kalijhora on Monday morning.
Dawa Tamang, the pillion rider of the two-wheeler was seriously injured. He was sent to a hospital in Siliguri for treatment. The body of Dhiren Rai was sent to the North Bengal Medical College Hospital for postmortem.                                                                                     According to the Sevoke Police, the accident took place at 11.30 a.m. on Monday. The Bolero heading towards Siliguri from Sikkim and the two-wheeler heading towards Kalijhora from Swetijhora collided head-on.
Dhiren Rai a resident of Karmath Forest died on the spot. Dawa Tshering, a resident of Karmath was critically injured. The driver of the Bolero was also seriously injured. He was undergoing treatment in a nursing home in Siliguri. 
Another person travelling in the Bolero suffered minor injuries. He was treated at Rambhi Primary Health Centre. 
It was learnt that Dhiren Rai was working on the under construction Sevoke Rangpo railway project. He was travelling on duty. His friend Dawa Tamang was also in the two-wheeler.
