50th day of lockdown .... Cases crossed 74 ,000 and death 2400,.. the highest cases in Mahrastra crossed 24,400 and death 900

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 13 May 2020: In the last 24 hours of the 50th day of lockdown, the followings data on Covid-19 in the country was recorded;  death 122 (1 day before-97, 2 days before-97) taking the death toll to 2415 (1 day before-2293, 2 days before-2206) and  3525 (1 day before-3604, 2 days before-4213) new cases, has been recorded in the whole country. Confirmed cases 74281 (1 day before-70756, 2 days before-67152) and 47598 (1 day before-46008, 2 days before-44029) active cases are recorded today.  
The fatality rate is 3.2% and recovery rate is pegged at 31.74%.
Today 24386 (1 day before-22454, 2 days before-20196) have recovered so far according to the latest update released by the Union Ministry for Health and Family Welfare.

Maharashtra remains the worst-hit state of the country with 24427 (1 day before-23401, 2 days before-22171) confirmed cases and 921 (1 day before-868, 2 days before-832) deaths and 5125 (1 day before-4786, 2 days before-4199) recovery. 

The second highest increase is observed in Gujrat, it has 8903 (1 day before-8541, 2 days before-8194) confirmed cases and 537 (1 day before-513, 2 days before-493) death and 3246 (1 day before-2780, 2 days before-2545) recovery and release from Hospital. 

The next is Tamilnadu which has exceeded the record of Delhi with 8718 (1 day before-8002, 2 days before-6535) confirmed cases and 61 (1 day before-53, 2 days before-47) death and 2134 (1 day before-2051, 2 days before-2061) recovery.

The next is Delhi with 7639 (1 day before-7233, 2 days before-6923) confirmed cases and 86 (since 4 days before-73) death and 2512 (1 day before-2129, 2 days before-2069) recovery.

The Government of India confirmed India's first case of Coronavirus disease 2019 on 30 January 2020 in the state of Kerala, when a university student from Wuhan travelled back to the state. 
As the number of confirmed COVID-19 positive cases closed 500, PM Modi on 19 March, asked all citizens to observe 'Janata Curfew' on Sunday, 22 March.On 24 March 2020, the Government of India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi ordered a nationwide lockdown for 21 days (1st). 
On 14 April, Prime minister Narendra Modi extended the nationwide lockdown until 3 May (2nd).On 1 May, the Government of India extended the nationwide lockdown further by two weeks until 17 May (3rd). From 18th May lockdown 4 will start with new rules in a new way , announced Prime Minister Modi on 12th May. He said, “Scientists say that coronavirus will be a part of our lives for a very long time. But we can’t let our lives remain confined around COVID-19. We will wear masks and maintain social distancing but we will not let it affect us. So lockdown 4 will be in a new form with new rules”.
