6 from Siliguri Mahakuma of Darjeeling district, 5 of Alipurduar and 37 of Coochbehar are amongst the 48.
Todays count tally 15 of Darjeeling and 68 of Coochbehar. 18 more of Coochbehar is lately reported to be positive that tally 87.
5 patients of Siliguri are admitted at Dr. Chang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital.
5 patients of Alipurduar district are from Kamakhyaguri, Birpara, Alinagar of Jateswar, Ramjhora Tea Garden and Gopalpur Tea Garden. They were in a quarantine facility and had travel history. They will be admitted at Covid hospital.
6 from Siliguri includes 1 of Phansidewa, 1 of Bagdogra, 1 of Naxalbari and 1 of Kadamtala, 1 year old child of ward no. 34 and a lab technician. The tally of Darjeeling district in Covid hospital stands at 18 .
One year girl child was in contact with a Covid patient having kidney problem of ward no. 34 (near NJP bridge) who returned from Chennai. 8 members of her family are in quarantine and their swab sample test was done while only the child tested positive. The child accompanied by her mother is admitted at Dr. Chang's SS C Hospital.
A 20 year old patient of Kalujote of Phansidewa was admitted at DESUN hospital since some days who had returned from Pune, he tested positive and admitted today at Dr. Chang’s SS Covid hospital.
A 16 year boy of Stationpara of Naxalbari having no travel history was admitted at DESUN hospital and he too was transferred to Dr. Chang's designated Covid Hospital.
Another 24 year patient is an expectant lady from Jyotinagar of Bagdogra was undergoing treatment at isolation ward of gynecological department of NBMCH since a week, she is not transferred.
One inspector of BSF is from Kadamtala BSF colony near Matigara is also infected and is under BSF supervision and treatment. 24 BSF personnel are quarantined.
One is a laboratory technician.
37 of Coochbehar belongs to Dinhata, Tufanganj, Mathabhanga, and Cooch Behar
18 additional are from Tufangunj, Dinhatta and Coochbehar.
A reliable source has stated that from tomorrow, DESUN hospital will function as another designated Covid Hospital.
NORTH BENGAL
Covid hospital
59 patients are admitted and more are in the process of being admitted: These patients admitted at Dr. Chang’s Super Speciality Covid Hospital are 14 patients admitted today and 31 patients of Coochbehar, 7 of Darjeeling and 9 are already admitted patients.
These include 5 patients admitted today, 4 patients of Alipurduar; one person of Adarshanagar, Ward no. 4 SMC who had been to Delhi; a patient of Bangladesh but residing with a relative of Pundibari-Coochbehar admitted yesterday with a history of travel to Chennai for treatment; a woman of Kholtajote of Khoribari suffering from cancer travelled from Mumbai; a girl of 8 from Malda suffering from leukemia and a kidney patient of Nepali Busty – Bhaktinagar area of ward no 34 near NJP bridge who had returned from Chennai.
4 of GTA area are admitted in Dr. Chang’s SS Covid Hospital .
So far 28 Covid patients have recovered and released from Dr. Chang’s Covid-19 hospital.
DESUN (SARI)
In DESUN severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) Hospital at Kawakhali, 16 patients are admitted of which 5 are in ICU.
1 from Darjeeling and 1 from Mirik are admitted at DESUN hospital.
1 person died here whose report is yet to be received.
NBMCH
9 patients with symptoms similar to Covid-19: Presently with symptoms similar to Covid 19, 1 patient is in Isolation-1 and 2 patients are admitted in Isolation ward- 2 and 4 in isolation ward of gynecological maternity department, and 1 in surgical ward.
A Covid positive woman of Naxalbari who gave birth to a baby girl two days ago is also admitted with her baby girl in surgical Isolation ward.
1 person admitted in Isolation is from Pankhabari of GTA area.

1 patient of Darjeeling is admitted yesterday in DESUN severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) Hospital.
In the areas of Gorkhaland Territorial Administration- there are 324 (yesterday 228) persons in institutional and 2929 (yesterday 3110) in home quarantine.
Institutional quarantine facilities:-
In DISHA of Kalimpong 5 persons are admitted tally 9.
In Marwari Bhawan 7 are admitted.
19 are admitted in Youth Hostel at Deorali of Kalimpong tally 81.
In ITI at Upper Fagu of Gorubathan 30 admitted, tally 56.
20 are admitted in Farmers, Training Hostel at Pedong of Kalimpong.
13 are admitted in St. Georges HS School Hostel, Pedong.
5 in Upper Dalapchand Library, Kalimpong.
3 are admitted at Lingsey Lepcha Cottage.
2 are admitted at dalapchand High School.
3 admitted in Rellytar swimming Pool Hall.
In Batasia TB Hospital 8 persons are admitted.
2 admitted at Jorpokhari Tourist Lodge, Sukhiapokhari.
In Mungpoo ITI at Takdah 8 admitted.
4 new are admitted in Old Railway Hospital of Kurseong, tally 22.
At Pokhriabong PHC, 12 are admitted.
At Mirik College 3 are admitted, tally 24.
At Pathasathi Motel, Simulbari 5 newly admitted.
At Jamuni GTA Guest House, Pulbazar, 3 newly admitted, tally 44.
324 (yesterday 228) persons are now in 17 different institutional quarantines.
With the home coming of students and other people from other states, the number of people in home quarantine at their residence in the district of Darjeeling is decreased from 2082 to 1964 and in Kalimpong district it is increased from 949 to 965.
Altogether there are 2929 (yesterday 3110) persons in home quarantine. Those who recently came from different states are now kept in the institutional quarantines till their swab test result confirms their negative to Covid-19.

STATE
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 31 May 2020: Todays report states a slow rise in number of new cases and active case.
In the state 371 new cases (1 day before-317, 2 days before- 277) as well as 8 death (1 day before-7, 2 days before-7) and 187 recovery (1 day before-195, 2 days before-107) is recorded today.
The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 5501 (1 day before-5130, 2 days before-4813) while active cases is 3027 (1 day before-1851, 2 days before-2736). The death toll from the disease till now is 245 (1 day before-237, 2 days before-230) while there is 72 death due to Co-morbidity.
After recovery of the infection 2157 (1 day before-1970, days before-1775) are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has increased to 39.2%
The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 40, ICMR testing labs is being done at a very good rate and today 9354 (1 day before-9346, 2 days before--9282) samples within 24 hour were tested that tally 203751 (1 day before-194397, 2 days before-185051) till now since day 1.
Today 135530 persons (1 day before-125287, 2 days before- 115578) are currently under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and total 225242 persons (1 day before-211999, 2 days before-200134) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance.
Number of people released from home quarantine was 89712 (1 day before-86712, 2 days before-84556).
Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 16818 persons (1 day before-16152, 2 days before-16502) and so far from these centres 51887 persons (1 day before-50185, 2 days before-47988) were released after recovery.
Currently in the state there are 69 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
