4 more recovered and released.....Total 6 out of 10 Kalimpong patients released.... 14 admitted at one quarantine centre.

KalimNews, 12 April 2020, Kalimpong: 4 more Covid positive patient of Kalimpong are released from Covid 19 Hospital at Chang's Superspeciality Hospital and Jalpaiguri Superspeciality hospital. Singh family and people of Kalimpong are more relieved to count the heads of recovered patients to 6.  
Today out of 9 Covid 19 positive persons, 4 more members of Singh family were released from their Isolation / Quarantine centre. After testing negative for more than twice 6 out of 10 are now released. Four members released today included husband of the deceased lady, sister in law (the husbands brother's wife), his nephew (the husband's brother's son), and the domestic help.
3 Adult and one minor of the Singh family is yet to be released and are their release is expected to be very soon. As of now 10 members of the Singh family and 1 domestic help had tested Covid 19 positive and 5 have recovered and tested negative while 1 died. 
Sunita Debi Singh 44 of the family was the first person to test positive on 28 March but she died on 30 March during her treatment at NBMCH. Later 4 immediate members of the decesed lady that included her husband, nephew, nephew's wife, nephew's daughter  (husbands's brother's son and daughter in law and their daughter) tested positive on 1st April and moved to isolation centre at Jalpaiguri. Later on five more members of the family member and  their domestic help in close contact with the deceased lady tested Covid19 positive on 2nd April and moved to isolation centre at Siliguri.
The rest of the four are also normal though and their one more test result is awaited. Their repeat sample test is done within 24 hr of one test resulting to negative. All released are advised to stay at home for another 14 days self quarantine.
11 more asymptomic persons of Darjeeling district have completed quarantine period. They were in self quarantine and there are still 158 persons to complete it. Yesterday  there were 169 persons in self quarantine.
In Kalimpong district 14 people who were in self quarantine at their homes were found with suspected symptoms and were moved at quarantine centre at ITI, Upper Fagu in Gorubathan and their tests is done for confirmation. There are still 46 persons in quarantine centres at Disha Centre and Marwari Bhawan of Kalimpong and  some are about to complete their quarantine period.
Today's report states that 4 asymptomic persons completed their self quarantine in Kalimpong and there are still 189 persons to complete. There were 193 persons and a day before that day, there were 202 persons in self quarantine.
Kalimpong is declared a hotspot zone but the recovery progress is very much encouraging and the control of the Covid 19 is very much under control.
In the country the number of confirmed cases is 8447 with 273 deaths and 765 discharged, the highest cases is recorded in Maharashtra as 1761 confirmed cases with 127 deaths and 208 release after recovery

The number of active Covid-19 cases in the state of West Bengal rose to 134, another increase of 8 new cases. Of these 134 patients, 19 have been discharged after recovery.
As of today at present 329 persons are admitted in hospital isolation. So far, 5 persons expired due to Covid-19. An official release of the West Bengal Health and family welfare department on Covid-19 states that 2523 samples are tested for Covid-19 in the state and 40576 persons are under home observation/surveillance and 15624 persons have completed surveillance. 2085 persons have been admitted under hospital isolation and so far 1756 persons have been discharged from hospital isolation after completing quarantine and testing negative. In the state there are 582 Institutional Quarantine Centres in which 10730 persons are kept in Institutional Quarantine (Cumulative) and so far 6764 persons have been released from Institutional Quarantine (Cumulative).
