Management accepts most of the demands of Mission Hill Tea Estate labourers

EOI, Gangtok, 27 Dec 2018: The management of Mission Hill Tea Estate at Gorubathan of Kalimpong district today accepted most of the 18 demands placed by the labour unions of the tea estate at a meeting held at Malbazar tourist lodge. 
The management agreed to build 4 new labour quarters, increase ELP to 4:50 paise, renovate labour quarters, appoint lady worker sardar, provide drinking water facilities, to name a few. 
The meeting was attended by DTDPLU Central committee vice president Harihar Acharya, Balam Tamang, Darjeeling sub division president, Milan Pradhan, central committee member and spokesman, Sandeep Mukherjee, Principal advisor Darjeeling Tea Association and Santosh Kumar Kaushik manager of Mission Hill Tea Estate.
