Workshop on tea wage

TT, Siliguri: Over 20 anti-Trinamul and BJP trade unions will organise a day-long workers' convention-cum-workshop in Siliguri on April 16 and announce its programme for immediate implementation of minimum wages agreement for tea workers.

"The lackadaisical attitude of the state and central governments has compelled us to hold the meeting and workshop. We will discuss the 'Minimum Wages in Tea Plantation and How to Achieve It'," Alok Chakraborty, the president of the Intuc's Darjeeling district president, said on behalf of the Joint Forum on Sunday.
