"Bimal Gurung will soon be arrested" Minister Deb

Prashant Acharya, EOI, SILIGURI, 13 Oct 2017: “Gurung will soon be arrested as there are plenty of criminal cases against him including anti-national activities, a look out notice has already been issued against him and law will take its own course of against those who are lawbreakers, said state tourism minister Gautam Deb reacting after Friday’s fresh violence erupted in Darjeeling.
Deb said, “We have been appealing Bimal Gurung and his followers not to create violence but they do not believe in democratic agitiation, they instead want bloodshed and disturb the peace in hills.”
Minister paid deep condolence and strongly condemned over the killing of police ASI Amitava Malik and said it’s very sad to hear about the death of young police officer who recently got married.
“Bimal Gurung will soon be arrested and police is trying hard to find his hideouts. Those who are involved in violence will not be spared and police will take strict course of action”, said Deb  
Tourism minister further said that peace prevailed in hills after long strike due to the positive initiative taken by the chief minister Mamata Banerjee. People are happy after the strike was lifted.
Meanwhile the dead body of ASI Malik reached Siliguri this evening and will be kept in morgue at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital tonight and will be taken to his residence at Madhyagram in North 24 Pargana on Saturday’s first flight from Bagdogra airport.
