Fake doctors arrested from health centres of North Bengal
TT, May 4: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested two doctors, who were working in different government health centres of north Bengal on contractual basis, as the duo had furnished fake educational certificates.
CID sources said officials of the state health department had provided them information about both the duo, after they found that they have submitted fake educational certificates.
Today, the CID arrested Khushinath Haldar, posted at Rangalibazna primary health centre in Alipurduar district, while Kaizer Alam, who had been working at the Dolua primary health centre in North Dinajpur district, was arrested yesterday afternoon.
Haldar and Alam were produced at the local courts in Islampur and Alipurduar today and had been to Calcutta on transit remand, sources said.
"We will interrogate them to find out how they managed to get fake certificates. They might have information about the rackets engaged in making such certificates," a source in CID said
