Two held with rare lizard species

, EOI, SILIGURI, 1 Apr 2017: Two persons were arrested on Friday evening with a Tokay (a rare species of lizard) from the Matigara area near City Centre, Siliguri by jawans of the Sashastra Seema Bal, 41 Battalion. A motorcycle and Rs 7,600 in cash were also seized from the two.
The operation was led by SSB 41 Bn Second-in-Command D.K. Singh upon receiving a tip-off. Singh said the suspects and the seized items have been handed over to the Sukna forest range.
