Her parents on Friday lodged a complaint at the Siliguri Police Station alleging that their daughter had been abducted from in front of her school.

The incident had occurred on Tuesday at the Jyotsnamoyee Girls Higher Secondary School in the close proximity of the Siliguri police station.

After classes had ended, the student was standing in front of her school waiting for her mother. According to the victim, a Maruti van stopped in front of her. Two men got out, pressed a handkerchief on her mouth and forced her into the van.

The girl had then become senseless. When she regained her senses she was still in the vehicle. The vehicle was parked on the side of a road. She heard a conservation revolving around "kidney." As the abductors were not paying attention to her thinking her to be senseless, the victim managed to escape from their clutches.

She then asked a passer-by for directions to her school and managed to reach the school. She narrated the horrifying tale to her mother who was frantically searching for her.

The traumatised victim was admitted to the Siliguri Hospital.

On being discharged, she along with her parents met the headmistress of the school on Friday and narrated the incident.  They then lodged a complaint at the police station.

The close proximity of this region to four international borders including Bangladesh, Nepal, China and Bhutan makes this area highly vulnerable.
