EX-GJMM LEADER JOINS TRINAMUL

SNS, Darjeeling, 23,January 2017: Former GJMM leader and councillor of Darjeeling civic body Mr Subhomay Chatterjee, who had to quit the party and declared that he would never return to politics, joined Trinamul Congress in Darjeeling today receiving party flag from PWD minister Aroop Biswas, as Chief minister Miss Mamata Banerjee celebrated 121 birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Notably, Mr Chatterjee had resigned as councillor and even quit the GJMM five months ago and told media persons that he could not stop corruption in civic bodies and branded him as 'unfit' for politics.
Mr Chatterjee, who used to criticise Miss Banerjee, said, "I have finally realised my understanding of Miss Banerjee was wrong. She did a lot for the development for the Hills and its people,"
