CID raids several houses, detains two for running forged marksheet business
SNS, Jalpaiguri , 24 October 2016: Acting on a tip off CID offi-cials conducted a raid in some places in Jalpaiguri town under Kotawali police station today. CID officials specially raided some houses located at Aadarpara and Kadamtala in the town and detained two persons for interrogation.
Investigating officials seized huge number of forged mark sheet, certificates and admit cards of some examinations from the rented apartment and office of one Barun Kanti Roy, teaches at Nathua High School in Dhupguri, (40) of Pandapara area under Kotwali police station in Jalpaiguri today.
Two persons were detained for further interogation after police found certificates of Karnataka Open University Annamalai University, Rabindra Bharati Open University and other educational institutions.CID also seized a laptop, colour printer from them. Police suspect Roy as prime accused for running such illegal business forging certificates and mark sheets of distant education systems of reputed organizations.
