Body of a boy swept away by Jaldhaka river recovered

KalimNews, Jaldhaka, 15 October 2016: After four days of search, the body of Arman Kabir is recovered by Nagarkatta Police . 
Today the dead body was recovered from Jaldhaka River near Gorumara Forest at Sulkapara under Nagarkatta Thana. After report of a body found by the locals Anindya Bhattacharyya OC of Nagrakata PS led the team to the river where the body was located this afternoon. 
The body was brought and handed over to the relatives after post mortem. 
12-year-old Arman was drowned and swept away by Jaldhaka River in Darjeeling district on 11 October. Arman, the son of Mahiruddin Molla, a resident of Najarnagar village under Haroa police station of North 24-Pargana district had come to Dooars for vacation with his family and had gone to Bindu under Jaldhaka PS of Kalimpong Subdivision of Darjeeling district. While Arman had stepped on a boulder by the bank of Jaldhaka River at Bindu in the Indo Bhutan border, to take photographs he slipped and fell into the river and drowned. Search for his body is initiated from the very day but only after four days it was found.
