Tea garden bonus meeting inconclusive for second time
HT, 5 Sep 2016, KOLKATA: The second round meeting in Kolkata to decide the bonus percentage for over two lakh tea garden workers of Terai and Dooars remained inconclusive on Sunday.
Nakul Sunwar, a senior trade union leader affiliated to the Trinamool, said, “The Consultative Committee of Plantation Association (CCPA) agreed to pay 15, 13.5, 12 and 10 percentage bonus to the workers of grade A,B, C and D tea gardens respectively.” This was not acceptable to them, he said.
