KALIMPONG GEARS UP TO WELCOME CM

SNS, Kalimpong, 18 September: After declaring a separate district for Kalimpong, it is ready to welcome CM Mamata Banerjee on 21 September after the CM's visit was rescheduled from 20 September to 21.The Tamang Cultural and Development board foundation day program has also been rescheduled to 23 September. It was initially supposed to be held on the 21 September.
Meanwhile the Mayalang Lepcha Development board foundation program remains unchanged on 22 September.
Kalimpong which has been a headquarter of different development boards in Hills is expecting more development boards for different communities. The Khas, the Gurung which has been regularly demanding separate board is gearing up to welcome the CM .The Khas Janjati Sangh has declared that its members will give a grand welcome to the CM at 8th Mile and will attend the programme in traditional attires.
Mean while the other faction of Khas, Bharatiya khas Hitkari Sammelan have announced that its representatives and members in large numbers from Duars area will welcome the CM at Coronation Bridge NH 10.
Meanwhile, large hoardings welcoming CM in the new district of Kalimpong has been put by Hill TMC party: Hoarding's of Kingchoom Darmit (Goddess of Fortune) of Lepcha Board and Fyafullo (Welcome) of Tamang Board can be seen in every nook and corner.
