The Gorkhali Marathon Runner who ran Everest Marathon 2016 is declared Goodwill Ambassador
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 16 June 2016: We call her "Pedong Express" in Kalimpong, some others call her "Mountain Monalisa" and others by different names. She is an extra ordinary marathon runner from Pedong in the district of Darjeeling (very shortly to be in the new district Kalimpong) who eats marathon, drinks marathon, works marathon, sleeps marathon and dreams marathon and nothing else. She is ROSHNI RAI. In addition to that she is an advocate, thinker, community activist and a writer.
Her addiction is to run long distance Marathons and make more people addicted to it. She ran Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon (THEM) and is declared Goodwill Ambassador by THEM.
THEM states, "Her fans & close circles Running Mates lovingly call her the "Mountain Monalisa", but Roshni Rai in virtual reality can be more than that. She is an Advocate by profession; but a hard willed Girl Running extra miles always on her addicted long distance Running Marathons. She has ran in Africa, Europe & all across Indian Cities, earning applause & applauds from her Runners World including that of Bollywood Actor like John Abraham."
"Recently, she ran Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon, which took her from Dingboche to Namche Bazaar, covering a distance of 21 KM; even though, she did visit Everest Base Camp & ran some Meters with Buddha Peace Flame Torch along the Khumbu Icefall. Roshni is Goodwill Ambassador now for India; she hopes to promote awareness about Everest Marathon, so that Indian Runners can also join in Everest Marathon which otherwise has been limited to Army & Air Force Runners only to this date."

Roshni writes : "I am happily addicted to long distance running. I have started running to escape from my life but now I am celebrating life with running.
The biggest assets in my life is my friends. I feel very proud to have friends from all over the places. I am still in touch with all my childhood friends, school friends and college friends."
She adds: "To help my vision to reach out to more people, Mr. Bikram Pande and his company HimEX has declared me as the Good Will Ambassador of Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon from India for a period of three years. HIMALAYA Expeditions helps Indian Army and NCC cadets to get all the required permits to climb Mount Everest since several years. This year, 11 NCC Girls from India made a History by climbing Mt. Everest under the Expedition of HimEX only. I am very proud to be associated with HimEx."
