Major fire in Kurseong
SNS Kurseong, | 22 November, 2015: A major fire broke on the ground floor of civic body’s Girls’ Primary School, where nearly 1,000 sewerage pipes were stored, near Kurseong Municipality office in Darjeeling this morning.
The establishment and stored materials was gutted completely. The devastating fire also affected a temple, which was located close to it.
There is no report of any casualty. People were panicked after fire broke out. Kurseong civic body had procured the materials, worth Rs 55 lakh, under JnNURM project for development of sewerage system.
