West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee to visit Bhutan
Mamata had declared in July about her intention to visit Bhutan following an invite from Bhutan government which was handed over to the CM by Bhutan's consul-general in Kolkata, Dashi Karma Tsering Namgyal.
Nabanna sources said Mamata is likely to leave for Bhutan on 5 October and return on 7 October. An intimation in this regard has been sent to the prime minister's office of Bhutan.
Apart from portraying the state as a potential investment hub, discussions are likely to be held on improving business relationship between Bengal and Bhutan.
Recently Mamata visited UK and earlier this year she had been to Bangladesh and Singapore.
