सरकारले नेस्लेलाई 639 करोड जरिमा थोप्यो
पीआइबी, कालिमन्युज, 12 अगस्त 2015: उपभोक्ता कार्य विभाग, उपभोक्ता कार्य, खाद्य एवं सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्रालयले राष्ट्रीय उपभोक्ता विवाद निपटान आयोग (एनसीडीआरसी)मा उपभोक्ता संरक्षण अधिनियम 1986 को धारा-12 (1) (डी) अंतर्गत अभियोग दर्ता गरेकोछ।
विभागले देशमा ठुलो संख्यामा म्यागीको उपभोक्ताहरु मार्फत व्यापारको अनुचित तरीका अपनाएर्, खराब सामान बेचेको औ बिना उचित मंजूरी म्यागी ओट्स नूडल्स बेचेको आधारमा नेस्ले इंडियाको विरुद्धमा मुकदमा दायर गरेको छ।
शिकायतकर्ताहरुले विपक्षी कंपनीलाई रु 284, 55,00,000 (रु 284 करोड़ 55 लाख) राशि दिन उत्तरदायी रहेको औ रु 355,40,70,000 (रु 355 करोड़ 40 लाख 70 हजार ) को राशि घोर लापरवाही, उदासीनताको निम्ति दंडात्मक जरिमानाको रूपमा चुक्ता गर्ने मांग गरेकोछ। यस प्रकारले उपभोक्ताका कार्य मंत्रालयले रु 639,95,70,000/ (रु 639 करोड़ 95 लाख औ 70 हजार) को दाबी गरेको छ।
