
Jalpaiguri hospital doctors test H1N1 positive, promised assistance
EOI, JALPAIGURI, 13 Mar 2015: Tests conducted for swine flu on the two doctors of Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital who showed symptoms of the sickness on March 10 have come as positive, according to district health officials.
The doctors had resumed duty from the next day without waiting for the reports.
Jalpaiguri CMOH Prakash Mirdha said, "We have come to know that the doctors joined duty on March 11 before their test reports were out. Their blood samples have tested positive. The hospital superintendent will be held responsible if any health complication arises. We will provide all possible assistance to the two doctors and take adequate steps to safeguard their colleagues."
